Arche

Name Meaning: "beginning", "origin", "source of action"; "first principle", "element"

Lore:
Daughter to the clan Progenitors, Patriarch Dignis and Matriarch Tiant. One of two eggs from the first clutch. First to completely shake off her shell in the nest.

She and her sister, Prima, both insist on being the first hatchling of the clan: her sister was the first to crack her egg, after all. Arche also has a bit of envy towards her sister for being the selected to stay out of hibernation on occasion, believing the reason to be favoritism from their parents. She's also a bit envious of Prima and Starfall's relationship, wanting to have a love like they do. Still, the two sisters love each other and were often by each other's sides when they were younger, looking out for one another.

She has a stoic demeanor, but can be quite sarcastic when bothered. When things around her stagnate with indecision, she gets irritable, eventually attempting to decide for others if it takes too long.

Interested in learning history, Arche can often be found reading texts about ancient sites, biographies, lore, genealogy, and the like. What she can't read about, she gets from Myrna's songs and stories, commonly requesting long epics about historical wars and love and adventures. Her guilty pleasure has been romances, though she's likely to only admit it to those she knows well.

Deciding to take it upon herself to archive whatever of note has happened in the clan, she's begun researching what happened in the past and has been "keeping her claw on the pulse". Mostly she's just been reading through her father's journal (scant though it may be), and "interviewing" with other dragons in the clan.

Considering what her prospects would be at the time of her "maturing", she came to accept that she'd have to convince Doni to be first mates with her, as her options were quite limited back in the early days of the clan. After Doni and Fascia started to be more regular mates, Arche tried mating a few times with their son Helix, but eventually she gave up on mating entirely.

Now her closest companion is Sims, the Serthis Archivist, who maintains her archive while she participates in The Great Sleep.
