Twiggy

They called her, "Twiggy", she wasn't like they rest. Twiggy had always been curious and full of energy. Twiggy was also very clumsy, one time, not very long ago actually, Twiggy had been exploring just a little too close to a Lilyfowl nest. Now this nest had two eggs inside which had Twiggy curious, she had never seen a Lilyfowl egg, it was much smaller then the eggs in her own nest! She sat and stared at the eggs for over an hour that day. Nearly falling asleep she was jostled awake by a very strange sound, chirping! The eggs had hatched and there were two little ducks staring at her. They began to quack, the babies were hungry and the momma duck was nowhere to be found! What was Twiggy to do? Twiggy began gathering everything from plants to insects (even though she knew nothing about their diet) until both chicks were full and sleeping in their nest.

It was the day after when Twiggy had returned but the babies mother had not, the babies were once again calling out in hunger. Remembering what the chicks ate the most she scurried off to bring them food. With the day growing dimmer Twiggy had made the choice, she would be their mother!

And that is how, one random summer, Twiggy became a mother!
