-lol who am I kidding imma make him sympathetic
-an incredibly strong plague dragon his skin constantly oozes powerful toxins, his opals are the result of this ooze coagulating and drying forming the gem like crust
-current working theory he traveled to far into the wyrmwound his mind has been consumed by contagion and his body might as well be more infection than dragon
-what actually happened was the original dragon died and then fell into the wound, the infection that is Ebollah by some strange mechanism unknown to it became trapped
-is actually blind, uses vibration and hearing to view it's suroundings
Something had changed... It wanted to leave, normally it would, but it could not. There was a weight, everywhere weight. Why was it so heavy? Move. Something, a new feeling, so many new feelings, a vibration an unfamiliar cacophony. Move. Again! The cacophony, a result of moving? Move. It begins to understand yes! Move.Move.Move. Forms! Just like before the weight, shapes around it come into comprehension...
