Biography
Ocha - The Startouched
Born in the Starfall Isles, Ocha and her clan moved twice, first from the gravity-defying islets of the Starfall Isles to the wide, open plains of Dragonhome, and then to the swaying steppes of the Windswept Plateau. Exposure to a wide range of cultures from a young age inspired a desire to foster understanding and bridge the divides between different groups. However, her fascination with the stars - both those adorning her body, and those on the celestial canvas that unfurled across the night sky regardless of where on Sornieth she was - led to an equally great desire to understand what she felt was one of the Arcanist's greatest gifts to dragonkind.
Despite doubts on whether it was feasible to pursue both these dreams (chiefly from fellow clan members who meant well), Ocha was determined to succeed, and eventually departed her clan, travelling to the Shifting Expanse. She had heard about the Phrontistery's diplomats, and wished to learn from them - and perhaps, from there on, find someone to teach her more about the stars. Fortuitously, her arrival coincided with Starfall Celebration, and Ocha found herself sitting in on one of Najima's introductory lectures on astronomy, hope growing steadily as the hour passed. Soon after the lecture ended, Ocha practically launched herself from her seat, and landed in front of the Fae, enthusiasm accelerating the Skydancer's rate of speech to ludicrous speeds. Only able to make out fragments of eager rhapsodizing and a 'can I join you guys?', a very bemused Najima led her to Zoroark's office. After speaking with her at length, the Tundra offered her a spot in the Phrontistery, which she happily accepted - and the rest is history.

Due to her interest in space and stars, she sought tuition from Najima to learn about Astronomy, then apprenticed under other academics currently in the field. She has become a researcher in her own right, specializing in stellar astronomy.
While still a diplomat, she is no longer a full-time diplomat like Watmel and Chloe are due to her duties as a researcher.
