Every Spring, Dewette renews her determination to play matchmaker for her Sable Feathercroak, but every Summer arrives with Romeo still single. Maybe he's just over-selective. Maybe his interests lie elsewhere. Whizbang suspects that Dewette actually prefers it that way (she is NOT good at sharing), but they're not about to speak out and ruin her fun. |

Dewette met Silas when she visited Rigby at the graveyard outside Wanderin. Resigned to a life of trimming hedges, the Pronghorn Hunter was fascinated by Dewette's creative and mercurial personality and gave up his position to travel with her as her personal valet. His tea service is top notch. |

Most folks steered clear of the little haunted doll. Perhaps that is why they never noticed the little brass ring tied to its belly. "May I?" Dewette asked. The plastic button eyes were unresponsive so, seeing as there was no objection, Dewette gently grasped the ring and slowly pulled. The string let out quite a distance and then...a soft rendition of "Don't Fence Me In" began to play, slightly off-key. "O mon Cherie," Dewette hugged the Four-eyed Phylactery to her chest. "Vous an' I are going to get on fah-moosly! I can feel eet." |

2023 Story Contest Plan (no peeking!)
A familiar Zeeba-drawn cart pulled up to the mouse-cafe on the edge of Wanderin Lair. An early-Spring sun peeped through the clouds as a single passenger alighted from the stoop at the back and, tossing her raven locks, took a deep breath of the cool late-Winter air.
Gone were the bangles and flounces of her Pirate-days; Dewette sported a smart winter cloak and beneath her tam-o-shanter, her eyes gleamed with memories of her last visit. Her comrade, Whizbang, was off visiting with Dewette's daughter, Riga, and her family aboard the Theseus II, and while Dewette wished she could join their adventure, here was an opportunity she could not miss: the Mistral Jamboree Story Contest! Her friend Kilkenny had pursuaded her to sign up as a judge and it afforded her the perfec opportunity to visit her other daughter, Sera, and of course, their father, her darling Rigby...
But first things first! She entered the cafe for a snack while she waited for Petrie to come fetch her to the contest grounds.
