BACKSTORY They are awakened and wandering. After generations of being bred, born, and raised under the ice and snow, with only the powers of their natal Flight, the Gaolers have begun to slowly spread across Sornieth. However, this adventuring and temporary nesting has come with adverse side effects - such as arcane-born Gaolers, which Lachlan and his brother most certainly are. The problem with this is the resulting stigma surrounding the parents of a disgraced, traitorous clutch, and the mismatched hatchlings themselves. Fearing the worst for them and their children, the parents of these arcane Gaolers deposited them upon the first dragons they could find, begging and pleading that they be kept safe and raised among their people, that they would never be told who their parents were or where they were meant to be. And then they disappeared. |

Sidyon and Bawrya were - are - good parents to Lachlan. He never doubted it for a second - and he does love them, sure. He always has, though he's also always known better than to think he was the result of their union. He was too monstrous compared to the other hatchlings in the lair, too strange - and the comments he heard through walls gave everything away. Not that it ever bothered him - after all, those who hatched him were obviously too cowardly to claim ownership. He would feel nothing but shame, to know such a fearful pair. At the very least, he's proved himself again and again to be useful, a decent enough fighter with more than enough intimidation in a single look and growl than even a guardian could hope to have.

Lachlan despises Heathen Home.He's been fighting for ages to prove himself worth something - the only option, he's decided, is to serve in the same way as his parents; a fighter, dedicated to the coliseum. Maybe if he fights a little harder, brings home more bacon for the Lair, they'll lay off. At least his size and strength has its uses; he's more use alive, a great asset to their causes... |
