BACKSTORY Gaolers may have lived under the Icefields for generations, but sometimes Beastclans slip down as well. Ancient eggs, in times like these, make a pretty penny, though most are used for meals. Perhaps Neo got off lucky, rescued by a rebel Ghosthost Viola and brought to Earth as an egg. The magics shaped her, stripping her of her strength with Ice, though her connection to the Icewarden still remained, if faint. The Viola remained with her as she was found by a pair of Tundra miners serving the Earthshaker. She hatched a Gaoler, and the two - who had never seen such a creature before - chalked it up to strange magic mutations, the likes of which had already been happening for years through the form of eyes and limbs. They thought she was just a mutated Tundra, and raised her to think the same. She grew up learning the art of Earth Flight magics and crafts, and followed her parents into deep tunnels, uncovering ores and sediment only her adoptive Flight could truly make use of. |

Over time, Neo grew up. A few steps into her adult years, word of the Gaolers' return from underground reached Dragonhome, leaving her and her family shocked to learn of her bloodline. Suddenly desperate to learn all she could about who she really was, she packed her belongings and said her goodbyes, swearing to return one day - and headed off to the Southern Icefields, hoping for a warm reception and lessons on her kind.

CURRENT ARC
The reception was not as warm as she anticipated, even with Lachlan at her side.A non-Ice Gaoler was just a bastardisation of the Gaoler's purpose in Sornieth, to serve and protect with the Icewarden's blessing. Exposed to other magics from Dragonhome and, sure, some Shade - well, she's a little more than a mockery to the Ancients under the snow. Not only this, but their patronising behaviour has made it very hard for her to find a place in their society. |

Vera has always taken more of a tough love approach, but she also loves her daughter and betrothed more than her own life - and would risk everything for them if she had to.

Tango is her father's address. Raised in a life of relative comfort for a dragon in-service, he was born under a rather famous family name in Dragonhome, and has not spent a day outside it. Meeting Vera was love at first sight, and he's devoted all his energy to her and their daughter. He's definitely much softer than his mate, and takes to spoiling them both with affection and trinkets often. Despite this, he isn't afraid to get his claws dirty when he has to.
