Exposed ribs and bone, combined with a pestilent red hide -- Corvo seems to be last dragon you would approach, but don't let that fool you. He is kind, despite his ghastly appearance, and did not always look this way. He spent his youth in Reedcleft Ascent, riding the thermals and basking his metallic coat in the sun. It was a blissful time, the young dragon going by his hatch-name of "Thunderhawk". What he lacked in strength he made up for in intelligence, finding joy in games of chess and shogi.

When Thunderhawk was a juvenile, his clan was attacked by marauders and he was taken captive alongside many others to be fodder for the arena. However, initial tests of the Skydancer's battle prowess were disappointing. It was determined that no one would cast lots on such a spindly, weak dragon, and his lack of stamina made him useless as a training dummy. Desperate to find a use for their captive, Thunderhawk was demoted to thrall. He was sent to serve the head-dragon: a notorious pit fighter, known for his cruelty and sadism. The weakling would serve their leader, or at the very least, provide him brief amusement. The monster became Thunderhawk's master, and renamed him Corvo.

As the personal valet to the unstable Arena champion, every day was a test of his sharp mind against his master's sharp blade. He survived as a result of abject flattery and total obedience, catering to his overlord's ego. This honed his skills as both the perfect servant and deceiver, knowing just what to say at every opportunity to spare his life. Daily exposure to his master's malice increased his resilience, and hard labor to see to his master's needs increased his strength.

The shattering realization that he was building himself into a feasible gladiator terrified the Skydancer, and so taking advantage of his clearances while seeing to his master's duties, he made his escape. Fleeing the stronghold, Corvo made it to the Shattered Plain before exhaustion overtook him, and he lost consciousness. He was discovered by the travelling Copernicus, who mistook his scars and visible bones as injury and malnutrition, and carried him home.

When the Coatl returned to the clan with the unconscious Skydancer, Kiliac identified Corvo's marks as the result of years of intentional exposure to Plague contagion. It had forced the Skydancer's body to adapt or die, and so Corvo has lost his innate connection to his birth element of Wind. Therefore, while Corvo was not a carrier of disease, his wounds would never mend, nor could healing magics aid his appearance or return his former affiliation.

As a result of his time indentured to a Coliseum master, Corvo is knowledgeable about battle tactics, both honorable and under-handed. He also has experience with many strains of infection that his former master cast upon him, a fact that intrigued Kiliac and his respective contingent. Once recovered, he was offered a position within the clan.

The dragon proved his knowledge and tactics, so the council welcomed the Skydancer's wisdom into the officer's circle. New members are rare and while it was an unanimous decision, Kiliac was Corvo's strongest supporter. As a result of this, there is a simmering, asymmetrical rivalry between the old valet and Silas.

Now Corvo provides insight, while maintaining a secondary role as a hunter; prowling the Boreal Wood for food and resources. When in clan territory, he is typically working alongside the strategic Sacred, or permitting Kiliac to study his plague-scars. Recently, the Skydancer has taken on the task of patrolling the hatchery perimeter. When asked who had assigned him this duty, he will only reply that such a thing "needs no assigning, only doing", and he is determined that no harm will come to the clan's most precious resource.

As a result of this, the hatchlings have made him into their personal boogey man, daring one another to approach him and touch his bony tail without discovery. This has not dampened the dragon's spirit, the Skydancer finding joy in the younglings' misguided yet innocent game. He is gentle with them, commonly bringing sugarbees and plantains as gifts. They are steadily warming to the old male, and the fable of his ghastliness dissolves with each sweet treat he provides them.

Corvo is outfitted as a Boreal Woods trainer when I need a break from the Mire. He can train two fodder at one time.

Some say I brag

I don't even care!

But if you're looking

Always ready
Very talented
