Maps the Caverns out internally to make they stay consistent. When there's a sudden shift in the walls, she records it and works with Mystify to find a cause. Ward is focused on, and best at, finding external causes for shifts -- uncomfortable bird nestings, fires lit too close to cracks, meteor showers... Mystify usually tackles sources of emotional strain for the Caverns.

Ward is the adopted daughter of Lisa and Jam. She's closer with Jam than Lisa, finding Lisa's constant good cheer sometimes grating or patronizing, and emphasizing much more with Jam's reclusive and blunt nature. Her diet at this point is half canned fruits. Her egg was found with Wild's, so they were raised together. Ward is the only person who will spell Wild's name with a Y. She likes him despite finding his antics exhausting; she's aware of how much he values their relationship, and tries to spend time with him as often as possible. She tries to be a supportive older sister to Treasure, but because she's so much older than him and they work in much different areas, they don't talk a lot. Works with Mystify, but considers her a little annoying; Ward finds her pretentious and condescending, and thinks her obsession with her appearance and personal hygiene is frustrating. (There's not a lot of time to get rock dust out of your coat when you spend most of your time walking around a place FULL of the stuff.)
