A strange imperial born with a cursed magic.

Yes was corrupted by an offshoot of magic between two extremely magical beings coming into contact with a clutch of eggs. Yes was the only one out of his siblings to survive the magical change, perhaps because he was blessed by the Lightweaver.

His parents knew something was wrong with him. His magic levels always fluctuated between dangerously low, and dangerously high. Whenever he was low on magic, he had to sleep to regain his energy. Whenever he had too much magic, he had to burn it off by casting spells.

His condition stopped him from ever having a normal life. Over a long period of time, he became obsessed with books and scrolls; pouring over each and every piece of text he could get his claws on: Fiction, nonfiction, tales, and tragedies, everything.

In a way, being hired as a bookskeeper in the Starfall Isles was one of the best things he could ever wish for. Even if he finds his co-workers to be annoying after the fifth time they nearly blew up his collection of meticulously-kept books and scrolls.
