The queen of the clan, Gemini is a peaceful leader who accepts anyone and everyone, even if she has a preference for the darker magics. She tries to do her best in Irya's place, but Irya is her mother in a way, and she truly does thank the older dragon. Over the years, there have been some... interesting new additions into her clan, but alas she finds that she doesn't mind. At least, that is what she tells herself. She is worried about the beast that slithers in the shadows, and the odd shaped duel-headed dragons- but she's overthinking again, isn't she? It'll be fine. It has to be... Gemini was young when she first entered the forest. She was weak, and most certainly dying. She didn’t have any of those beautiful, special markings of a third color that all of her other nest-mates shared. She had hatched without markings, and even as she had grown into her wings enough to leave her nest, the markings still didn’t appear. Her wings were gorgeous, but without that last piece- she was ostracized from her clan- left to fend for herself until she passed or was snatched away. The glistening lights had pulled her into the forest, the colors bouncing off her pearl- which had slowly begun to lose its luster as she wanders further in. By now, she was panting, and her body was beginning to drag her down onto the floor of the forest, her wings draping against her side. Just as she fell to the ground, her grip on her pearl- her entire essences of who she was- started to falter. Before it could be lost completely, a thin but fast feathered tail held it against her claws, helping her keep her hold. After a moment, there was a surge of flickering, dancing lights- and Gemini could breath again! “Oh, my child.. you’ve come so far, haven’t you? It would be a waste to let your potential sputter out now.” A slender figure spoke, lifting Gemini up and laying her down onto it’s slender back. “I’ll watch over you tonight, in case of any negative effects. I hope you’ll forgive me for the effects you’ll see in the morning, magic tends to.. act odd when it comes to big things like this.” Gemini didn’t understand what this older dragon was speaking of, but nonetheless, she appreciated that they decided to help.. Come morning, Gemini had examined herself in the pool of water within the section of the lair she had spent the night sleeping in. All along her scales were the startling bright markings of a skeleton, her skeleton! Instead of finding herself disgusted or afraid, she felt.. happy. The last piece of herself had finally revealed itself.. “Good morning, youngling. I do hope you’re not upset..” The voice from last night spoke, and Gemini looked up at the Skydancer who towered over her. She was gorgeous, strong but resonating kindness nonetheless. “I’m glad that you survived such a long journey! My name is Irya, and your name?” “I’m.. My name is Gemini. Can you tell me where I am?” “You’re home, Gemini. Welcome.”
