Kimimaro was born into the Kaguya-Clan and inherited the rare Shikotsumyaku Kekkei Genkai, giving him the ability to manipulate his own bones. His clan feared his abilities and locked the child away, only using him in battles. However, his clan was wiped out by Kirigakure and Kimimaro was the sole survivor.
He was found by Orochimaru who gave the young boy purpose and making him his most loyal subordinate. Kimimaro wanted to fullfill his master's dreams even accepting to become Orochimaru's host in the future. His once gentle nature shifted in some regards, making him more cold and harsh towards those he considered unworthy while keeping a sense of honor even in battle against opponents he found worthy. But he became sick and could no longer serve for this purpose, leaving him desperate in searching ways to help in Orochimaru's plans. Character: ❖ - calm - ❖ ❖ - gentle - ❖ ❖ - hasty - ❖ ❖ - respectful - ❖ He was the first to approach Juugo and he was able to defeat him in his berserk state, forcing him to calm down. Juugo felt save with Kimimaro around, both shared kindred spirits and became good friends. Orochimaru developed the cursed seal from Juugo's blood and gave it to Kimimaro. He became so powerful that the Sound Four were beaten by him single-handed and he was introduced as their leader, now forming the Sound Five. |

Kabuto tried to cure Kimimaro from his desease but lacked medical information about his clan and could not treat his unique body structure, leaving Kimimaro bedridden to extend his lifespan.
He was not able to participate in the attack on Konoha and Kabuto believed that this led to the failure of the attack.
When he heard about the Sound Four having difficulties to bring Sasuke, Orochimaru's new vessle, to the hideout, he insisted on helping in their mission, knowing that it would probably kill him. He managed to help Sasuke reaching Orochimaru but died in the battle.
