A lovable goofball and klutz, Quartzite is a former traveling dragon who has had a lot of mishaps in his life. He's tried his hand at being an artist, a pirate, a poet, a knight, and an adventurer. He's a very lucky dragon; good, bad, or indifferent, things happen to him. He adores his mate, Quartz, and tries to be a good father to their children.

Quartzite was born the apple of his parents' eye and quickly turned to the bane of their existence. The shiny, glittering baby they adored was an excitable, clumsy child. Too big for any space he was in, too curious for the company he kept, and too messy for the family he was born to... it was for this reason that he left home as soon as he was old enough, ready to tarnish his scales and see what the world had to offer for him. He's traveled a little, found a home that suits him, but more than anything, he wants more. He takes little with him, but he leaves a big mess behind each time...

This was particularly true in his interactions with Aya; he and the artist got overly excited about painting, and by the time they were finished, the space was liberally spattered in bright blobs of paint. After giving Aya a stern talking-to, Zelophehad was rather firm in sending her new-found friend on his way...

After a little experience with being starving and homeless, Quartzite was taken in by a friendly Wind clan (@GrinningWolf24)who fed him up and nursed him back to health. A pretty little Skydancer named Quartz was involved in the process; when he heard she had had a new job offer in the Water realm, he jumped at the chance to accompany her. For the moment, his wandering days are over; he would give anything to stay by her side. But if her stay drags on longer than it might...he just might have to go wandering again, alone.

The next clan he found himself in sent him on quickly. From there, he ended up in the Light realm, where he entered a long queue of eager dragons. When he asked two days later why they were all waiting in line, he was informed that it was one of the semiannual recruitment windows for the Lightweaver’s armies! He tried to get out of line immediately, but was stopped by some heavily armored guards. It took a great deal of fast talking to get past them, but he finally convinced them to let him go when he said he’d left a small hatchling behind in the Water realm. He skedaddled back to Clan Aquaurora, where he found Quartz waiting for him, but his hatchling has already moved on to serve the Arcanist. His wandering days are over for now.
