Snowflake

In the Southern Icefields, it is an honour to be named after one of the Icewarden's creations. But outside of the Southern Icefields Snowflake discovered that her chosen name had another use amongst dragons. Some of these dragons thought to dishonour the Icewarden's most beautiful creations by using the term snowflake to describe those who were of lesser psychological resilience or unable to their emotions in the face of challenges.

Well, no self-respecting Ice dragon would allow such a notion to exist. All residents of the Southern Icefield were survivors and the hardiest of dragons- in mind and body. So Snowflake now spends her idle days reeducating dragons on the resilience and beauty of the snowflakes (and all of the Icewarden's creations). She is particularly fond of dumping ignorant dragons in some of the less ideal climates and watching them blunder about in things simple Ice hatchlings can handle. She enjoys the wretched cries of arrogant dragons who used to lecture others on their superiority. They certainly don't sound superior when they are going hungry in a dark forest.

Ahh, but Snowflake does enjoy teaching dragons proper respect for nature in all of its forms. Those who are not so foolish as to insult the Icewarden or loudly exclaim their false qualities are welcome to ask Snowflake for lessons in winter survival and self-sustainability. She happily shows them the bounty of the land and wonderful methods of using one's surroundings. But only those who are worthy ever get to learn from the master survivalist herself.
