Kudera didn't have much responsibility imposed on her as her older siblings had in the past, being the youngest out of all of them. She was pretty much free to do as she wished without worrying too much about repercussions to her family, due to the fact that they'd reached a certain stability by that time. Despite all this freedom, she never felt a particular pull towards one thing or the other. She was more interested in doing the first thing that came to mind and then following it, even if she had a tendency to get bored and move on to the next thing within a few days.

It was a luxury that could be afforded to her fairly easily. Though her naiveté and occasionally careless way with words could land her in hot water, her sister Desini served as what some would call her caretaker. Others would call her Kudera's bodyguard. Kudera was flighty and airheaded, but also possessed a warmth and friendliness hard to find in the slums. This drew people in from a wide spectrum; those who found her fun and entertaining, and those who thought they could scam her for everything she had.

Whether by fate or luck, she crossed paths with a group of nomadic travelers who liked her for the former reason rather then the latter. With the permission of their leader, she and Desini tagged along. It was just the kind of lifestyle that Kudera needed, where she never stayed in one place for too long and never had to stick to one job or craft.

In time, she would consider the troupe her home and the members her extended family. Some joined the group and stayed as a permanent fixture, others joined and then left over time to pursue their goals on their own. But no matter which category they fell into, Kudera never forgot a single one of their faces.
