After her creation by the great Plaguebringer herself, Countess knew her life's purpose was to aid her goddess in any endeavor, forever loyal, staying by her side. She made Wyrmwound her home, all the blighted cave walls and pools of rot, her homeland and her hearth. And while she stayed by the deity's side, she picked up upon the magic of the Plague. She never reached same heights in the art as Plaguebringer, since no mortal could, but Countess soon proved herself talented and powerful. She could heal and mend, but more strongly she could rip and tear the flesh of her enemies, infect them with complex incantations. Here she thought she will stay forever, and nothing would change her mind.

But one fateful day, while Plaguebringer was churning her cauldron and Countess was scribbling down her instruction, a dragon rose from the Wyrmwound, clawing his way out with strong, powerful strides. While the deity proudly declared this dragon as one of her chosen, Countess couldn't look away. the power and predatory grace radiated from the newcomer, magical aura fed on by his obvious physical strength. Countess was fascinated beyond belief at such a creature, and could not stop herself from coming to Demonsire's side after Plaguebringer left, and started a conversation.

They talked. And talked, and talked, and talked - sun would go down and the moon rise, and the stayed side by side, hunting and resting and practicing magic. Countess would not admit it then, but she felt intense longing and a sense of companionship she never felt before. When it was Demonsire's time to leave, to start a clan to spread Plaguebringer's word and will, she found herself wanting to go with him. But she was loyal, and couldn't leave - no matter how it pained her. But the deity saw her turmoil, and felt that Countess would make a powerful, true companion to Demonsire, and together they will rule their clan justly and bring worth great honor to the goddess. So Plaguebringer told Countess to go, to leave with her beloved, and the dragoness didn't fail to comply, eager to join Demonsire as his Queen.
