The Scarred Wasteland is cruel, so Dread grew up to be more cruel than it to survive. Their childhood is distant and murky, covered by the numerous battles and the scars they left behind. A mercenary since young age, Dread left their home clan in search of greater purpose and power. They've been a gladiator, a warrior and a killer, yet no work satisfied them. Blood and fighting didn't bother them, but the monotony of the survival did. When Dread stumbled across the Undying, they were only hired for a few weeks as a guard. And yet... something was different here, they don't know. The power of the royals, the loyalty of their subjects or maybe even the grandness of the Undying Palace inspired Dread to stay. They have proven themselves to be powerful, dedicated and terrifying. Demonsire and Countess were impressed with Dread's work and soon they were made the royal guard (though most of the time they act mroe like a bouncer, discouraging dragons from disturbing the king and queen needlessly). The closeness to the royal couple grew into something... more, something that Dread dares not name. But when they sleep curled around Demonsire and Countess, they feel at peace like they've never felt before.
