Background of the Familiar's History or relationship with Dragon and/or anything else you want me to consider while writing the Lore.
Mineral and Mollu are a geologist/hydrologist, well-digger duo. Mineral performs geological surveys to determine the most probable location of an aquifer, and Mollu digs down and builds the equipment to pump the water up for the locals to use. They travel all over, mostly in arid regions, visiting both dragon and beastclans to offer their services.

It could have been a disaster. It nearly was a disaster. Mollu reclined at the water's edge with her Raptorik Wanderer, watching the clan's younglings frolicking in the pool, their mother's hollering words of caution from the nearby shade of the cliffs, totally unheeded by their progeny. "Well, Mineral," Mollu began. "When all's said and done, I think they got a lot more than they bargained for." "We got a lot more than we bargained for!" Trust Mineral to bring up the precise thing Mollu was trying to forget.

The contract had been one of their more challenging prospects, what with the clan surrounded by cliffs and boulders to the horizon. But Mollu and Mineral were professionals. And well-digging was rough but highly satisfying work.

Mineral's geological survey revealed an aquifer near the surface at the bottom of a nearby ravine. Pretty straightforward on paper, really.

Blasting Powder Dragonmade A potent mixture crafted to explode quickly. When deployed by fire dragons, there is a small window of time in which the blast can be shaped and sculpted for maximum efficiency and to prevent cave-ins. The combination of diverse materials is difficult to procure, but makes it nearly indestructible. (Turn-in Item for Dustcarve Dig) 1

On Paper. The ravine rapidly narrowed to a series of cracks and fissures and Mineral had a heck of a time positioning the explosives properly, even with his diminutive size. He finally flew back to where Mollu waited behind a boulder with the fuses. At her familiar's shrug, she lit them and they waited. The blast took out the boulder as well as the ledge it perched on, but fortunately their wings saved them. They hovered over the blast site and as the dust cleared, they saw not a hole revealing the flowing aquifer beneath, but a fountain spraying halfway up the walls of what was now an enlarged crevasse. They watched, dumbfounded, as the water level rose higher and higher...

Fortunately, the force of the water leveled off just before it overflowed its rocky confines, leaving the clan with an enlarged pond with room enough for a fair number of dragons to enjoy a swim on a hot Sornieth day. "The Watering Hole" the clan called it...

"And why not?" Mollu rolled over, her tail trailing in the cool spring water. "It's a darn sight better than a well and a pump!" She swore she heard her familiar mutter something under his breath about "hazard pay," but when she looked, he was fast asleep.

Familiar: Dahlia (Ichor Nymph)



Background: Ellie met Dahlia when out on a hunting mission for the clan, along with a few other nymphs. They were both after the same rotting log, which was positively stuffed with insects. Considering that Dahlia was much smaller, she couldn't contest for the prize, but fluttered annoyingly around Ellie's head until she finally gave in and tossed her a small chunk of the log, which was infested with beetles. Dahlia was charmed by it, and followed Ellie home, where they began a hesitant friendship based around their mutual strengths. In present day, Dahlia's far from domesticated, but has become surprisingly cuddly. The two of them are rarely seen apart.

Background Lore: affectionate to Alex, often sent off to help her partner broker. practical and seemingly a little apathetic, she’s focused and strong.

alex thinks its pretty funny when she sends her familiar to watch over broker. so funny, in fact, that everytime someone asks for a little leeway from broker’s prices for their financial report, he sends Apprentice down to stomp on their toes a little. anything for a little extra treasure for a cool new silk sash, alex thinks. broker likes silk.

Alex finds Apprentice over in broker's office, curled up all nice and cozy on a carpet beside broker's desk. According to an annoyed broker, the valorous battlemare has been there all day. broker is annoyed because she can't find something she's looking for and wanders into a backroom to search there. Once she has left the room, Apprentice stands and gives herself a good shake and trots out of the room, leaving a crumpled parchment on the floor, right where she had been lying down. Alex places the missing missive on the desk and skedaddles.

"There you are!"
