Wulfenbach was abandoned by his birth parents as an egg. Fortunately, he was discovered by a Lightning pair, a mirror and a fae, who took him home and hatched him. They named him Wulfenbach, and raised him as their own, among their other children. He grew up cared for by two scientists and a flock of older siblings, and though he was elementally a Nature dragon, something in him was sparked to life by watching his family work. Even when he was just a hatchling, he was helping his parents with experiments, fetching parts for machines, learning the ins and outs of working in the Shifting Expanse. However, good things don't last, and he and his Lightning parents were experimenting when there was a lab accident. An experiment produced a fireball that blew apart most of the lair. Wulfenbach was severely injured in the blast, but a new body was built for him by his parents, who didn’t know how to heal, so the only option was to turn their loved one into a metal and wire construct. Being such a construct, after he inevitably outlived his family, Wulfenbach began to wander, eventually ending up in the original territory of the Highhaven dragons. He has stayed with the clan since then, having found a place to fit in for a while. He'll leave one day, he knows this already, but he has no desire to move on at the present. He works closely with Faustus and Faraday on Highhaven Hold's technological advancements. "Wulfenbach has been with us since the beginning, serving as our Elemental Ambassador to the Lightning Flight and one of our scientists. He's very responsible, and hardly ever invents something that blows up. His laboratory is still a danger zone, however, because the things he work with can be very harmful to the “meatbags” that are his Clanmates. He's recently allowed Faustus inside, and the two of them have hit it off when it comes to weird science." "On several occasions he's expressed frustration with his robot body, saying he'd probably like it a lot more if he didn't keep outliving his friends. I wouldn't be surprised if he and Faustus are working on some kind of project that might remedy that. I know for certain he's currently trying to design a heating system for our new lair."
