Mairon is the chief metalworker of the clan. He's gloomy, antisocial, and quite self-absorbed, preferring to bask in his treasures instead of joining the other dragons. He's a master craftsman, and he's constructed an elaborate forge in Highhaven Hold, the plume of smoke from its chimney rising steadily from the mountain nearly every day. He also enjoys music, preferring songs suited for the forge, but will sometimes sing love ballads and laments with Anatolius.
"If you hear an eerie tune drifting through the frozen tunnels that make up our lair, it's Mairon, hard at work. He's a talented metalsmith, and makes a good deal of armor for our clan. His jewelry work truly showcases his talents, however, and his ornate pieces are quite popular. As of late, he's taken up alchemy, and he's as likely to be perched over a bubbling cauldron as he is to be hard at work in his forge."
"I've been keeping an eye on him. There's just... something about him that unsettles me. Perhaps it's his forgesongs - he claims the songs he sings are hymns to the gods, but they certainly aren't ones that I've ever heard. And his shadow! It's the same as Gloaming and Nyarlathotep's, shifting on its own when it can't possibly be a flickering candle causing it. There's something off about him, mark my words."
