Having been led to Astéri Lune by her Charge, Lamashtu, Hellebore took up residence in the clan simply because of her instincts as a Guardian. Lamashtu's interest in malformed animals let Hellebore to garner interest in them herself, and now she studies teratology.

While her Charge is more focused on caring for the creatures, Hellebore enjoys studying the biological aspect of what caused them to be malformed. Hellbore doesn't often see these animals when they're still alive, as Lamashtu feels its disrespectful to see them simply as as an area of study. Hellebore does, of course, has plenty of respect for them, but doesn't wish to argue. She patiently waits for permission instead, usually after the creature has passed.

The border of Arcane and Plague have many anomalies, both from magic corruption and pestilence, so there are plenty of subjects for Hellebore to study. She's got keen eyes, and helps Lamashtu find the poor, ravaged creatures to care for. Her large and intimidating form makes it harder for her to approach any animal, however; luckily Lamashtu seems to have a calming presence to them, and can approach them without them scampering away.

Hellebore enjoys Astéri Lune well enough, but would rather live in Sōlis, where her partner, Scapula, lives. Unfortunately, Lamashtu doesn't have an interest in leaving a place so perfect for her, and Scapula has a business to run in Sōlis. Luckily, he's a loving and patient partner, and often comes to visit and spend time with her. He also is sure to hunt down her favorite foods before visiting- he's quite the romantic!

She's rather social, but doesn't often get to spend time with others due to Lamashtu's reclusiveness. Many of her friends visit her frequently, aware of her predicament. Hellebore doesn't let Lamashtu know much about the grief she has about all of this, feeling its wrong for her Charge to have to change her lifestyle because of her Guardian instincts. She has, on more than one occasion, considered using a magic scroll to change herself... but could it truly get rid of her protective instinct?
