 Ailbe is something of a mystery to everyone on the Lapin, herself included. She boarded one day, grim, as the ship drifted high above the Scarred Wasteland; flightless, Gambit carried her up. Her eyes were a shade of red so deep and dark that anyone on board could have confirmed her nature, and blood from some unknown victim was drying on the claws that clutched her pearl. She spoke low, paid a significant amount of money to be taken to the Zephyr Steppes without having to work, and retreated to her quarters. She was not seen or heard from in nearly a week.

When she next emerged, she was woozy, scared, and confused. Aerie, returning to the bridge from her personal quarters, caught sight of her and asked if she was all right. The pearlcatcher's quiet response was that she wasn't sure-- she was having trouble remembering much of anything, and had no idea even of her own name.

Confused but willing to help, Aerie told her what she knew of Ailbe's history-- the name she'd given, her clan of origin, her end destination. She remembered nothing, and complained of a horrible headache when she stressed herself to try.

It was then, as the dragon looked up at her with a sick hint of panic in her eyes and a vexing breeze blew through the enclosed hallway, that Aerie realized something was very wrong.

Ailbe's eyes were Wind Flight green.

With nowhere to go and no memories to guide her, Ailbe has remained aboard the Lapin as an employee. Over the months, powerful and strangely-intuitive Wind magic has made itself present, blowing and twisting through her as though she were born a particularly powerful mage.

Wind-aligned passengers always seem awfully uneasy around her, as do pearlcatchers, who often notice that she carries no pearl with her. One in particular who fit both criteria leapt ship nearly a week before they would have reached his destination, shortly after crossing paths with her near the sleeping chambers. Indeed, most dragons who catch a glimpse of her from the corners of their eyes say that there is something wrong with her-- something very subtly off, unnatural about her gaze.

Ailbe earns her keep by, using her exceptionally powerful Wind magic to help propel the Lapin and keep it safe from storms. She has also proven herself an intuitive cook, though how she learned such skill is anyone's guess, and often prepares meals for her fellows. In her spare time, she produces maps, studying the world around them carefully and sending them to market to be sold.

For some reason, she is immune to the Lapin's normal effects on its inhabitants. 		Mustache Moth
