"How are you feeling my dear?" Blaise purred as he padded softly into their nesting chamber. The furs carpeting the ground deafened the sound of his feet as he approached the pile of cushions upon which she was stretched. It was an underground room that was tucked away in the catacombs of the enormous firefly clan, safe from any dragons that may want to do them harm, as there were many, here they could relax. "Oh I'm alright, don't fuss." She lifted her head away, as though in dismissal. Blaise sighed, smiled wryly at the feathers on the back of head and then leant forward to gently blow of them. Celeste sighed and did her best to ignore him, but the giggle burst out of her chest before she could stop it. "You're so ridiculous." She smiled. "Oh, I know." Blaise returned the smile and settled down beside her. "Look." Celeste whispered, and uncurled her tail. Her mate lent in to get a closer look. The two eggs sat together, both large and pale in the light of the fireflies that hung suspending in jars around the chamber. It almost seemed that they were leaning into each other, perhaps for comfort or protection. "What do you think my love?" Blaise sighed in contentment and kissed the top of Celeste's head. "Boys or girls?" 
"Blaise!" The shout came from the chamber where he had last left her. "Come quickly!" His head turned towards the sound, and in moments he was racing towards the source. When finally he turned the corner into their chamber, he found Celeste curled up, her tail and wings wrapped protectively around something in her arms. "What-" He began, but fell silent as she uncurled her tail so he could see her treasure. They were surrounded by shell fragments, two tiny hatchlings, lying so close together they could have been hugging. The first was the smaller of the two, and had shining dark scales. His minuscule wings were tinged with red, and his little hands and feet were pale. As Blaise looked closer, it seemed as though he had runes etched into his body too. Just like him, though a little lighter in colour.
The second was the larger of the brothers. He had his brother's shining scales and red wings, but the curious firefly patterning of his mother. Perhaps he had inherited more of her magic. He yawned, and Blaise saw a flash of tiny white teeth.
"They're beautiful." Blaise whispered. |

"The King Of Cups, Nikolai." Celeste murmured softly as she gently touched the head of the small hatchling. A few days after the hatching of the brothers, the youngest one stood at the entrance of the nesting chamber. A day before, he watched as his older brother leave their home. Nikolai knew that it wouldn't be too long before he would leave their home too. And he was absolutely right because today is the day that he would be leaving his home, his birthplace, to settle into another clan that would be his new home. His mother, Celeste was milling around the chamber. Packing trinkets and such for him, saying that it was important for a Witchborne to have those items, but Nikolai couldn't care less if it was that important or not. He stood before the entrance anxiously. The nervousness was slowly eating him. He couldn't help but think about his new clan, 'are they nice?', 'would they welcome me despite being a witchborne?', his thoughts were abruptly stopped by his father, Blaise. "Kid, I know you're nervous, but don't worry, son. Your new clan isn't that bad. I mean, I talked to their leader and he seemed nice enough," Blaise was interrupted by a random dragon announcing that the clan leader of Fortis Ignis has arrived and is waiting for them, or more specifically, waiting for Nikolai. Celeste moved towards the father-and-son duo. Nikolai noticed she held a package in her talons and gave it to him, which he gingerly received and held carefully. "It's now time for you to leave, my son. Be careful, for there are people who will harm you because of your powers." |

March, the Crow Moon
These dragons are meticulous scavengers (and curious to a fault), and are often seen picking at the remains or dwellings of Child-Eaters' hovels. Often than not, anyone can get confused upon which Witch has become a Child-Eater and so these dragons are here to help them differentiate. Very much like the Witchborne of the Wolf Moon, they have a reputation of being crafty wisdom-keepers, but are also rumored to be terrible at keeping secrets. Nevertheless, Witchborne under the Crow Moon also have the ability to communicate with the dead, as they prove to be more truthful than any other evidence. The information they take from the dead, as such example are murder victims, are scarily accurate that could pinpoint the exact time of their own deaths, the murder weapon, their attacker. Often times, they also depend on the spirits in thrall with the Witchborne of the Wolf Moon that they may rely on. Through this, they can't either be lied to as they are quite quick to know the truth through supernatural perception. |

Blessed by Water, Imber
When it became apparent that through the water, the other dragons could condemn those who they believed had taken their children, the element became their means to an end. But as soon as the whereabouts of Child-Eaters came to surface, it is there where the water had proved to be most fatal to those dreaded fallen witches, burning them and their putrefied physicality as if doused by acid. Witchborne who are christened under this element became adept in controlling the Mist, creating, drawing, scry through any pool of liquid, and even purifying them for their own spells or for drinking purposes. |
