~ Wanted more Water dragons, Ridgeback female as pirate captain

Echo's Toys
Clan Diamond Dust determined they needed to have more ways to transport their goods across Sornieth - and bring supplies to them - due to the unpredictable weather that was making flying difficult.
As a result, they set up The Outpost on the coast to have a dedicated trade route and safe harbor. Much work went into setting it up and bringing materials to create this offshoot of their main clan.
The clan leaders struggled to find a captain for the ship. They had decided, due to the nature of the job, that a Water dragon was required to lead. After a lot of searching, they settled on a young ridgeback from a respected clan in the Spiral Keep. While it may seem odd to have a Ridgeback lead, given their famous adversion to water, Illyria's affinity for water seems to have overcome that obstacle.
Originally, Fairlady had planned to have a permanent crew of two on the ship, but Illyria convinced her that a third permanent crew member was necessary. Unlike normal clan members, the rest of the crew had to sign contracts for a specific time frame and number of voyages. Eventually, they could be elevated to regular clan members and receive all the benefits associated with it, but they needed to prove themselves at sea first. Plus, some of them seemed unlikely sailors without enough experience, so the clan leaders were overly cautious in this venture.
Unfortunately, the clan leaders didn't quite think through putting a ridgeback in charge. They were very strict on the ridgebacks living in the main clan. Borrowing tendencies were strictly forbidden at the risk of exile.
Illyria knew better than to mess with the trades and stores for her clan. But... well, if someone else didn't keep a close eye on their jewels, was that really her fault?

From tarshaan:
There’s a rustling at the entrance to your lair, the sound of curious sniffing accompanying the noises of movement. The culprits soon waddle around the corner and you can see that it is Echo and Biscuit, the newest adopted additions to your lair. As soon as they see you, their ears perk up and they bound over, dropping at your feet their favourite toys as if to say “This is mine! I will let you look at it because you're nice and I like you!”. It’s very cute. You feel as though the three of you will get along very well.
Thank you for adogpting these corgis and giving them a home. Your support of Wind is really appreciated!

Blitz nods, amused. "You do need more practice before it's ready for a general audience. Perhaps with a different item to inspire you? You might find memorisation easier if you're not worried about your clan leader's reaction."
