The Ridge



- The Split Ridge: Most populated sub-clan of the Ridge Region, led by Starlight and Zhulong. Even though its the youngest sub-clan, its the biggest, because of the way Starlight "advertised" it. It's built into the side and around of a small cliff face right on the coast. Main export is crafted goods and lumber.

- The Outer Steppes: The oldest sub-clan of the Ridge, led by Colossus. Built most inland on a large grassy expanse, right before some of the major mountains. Built around an ancient castle. Lots of farming and livestock raising as a major export.

- Starry Point: An astronomy clan built on top of a small mountain, lead by Polaris and Ciel. Contains an impressive library carved into some of the caves of the mountain. Lots of great spots for stargazing.

- Iron Mountain: A small sub-clan built around an Iron-rich mountain near the north side of the Ridge, lead by Deluge. Main supplier of stone, iron, and copper for the Region.

- Shoal Guards: A small fishing sub-clan of the Ridge Region, led by Tranquility and Xanthos. They deliver a lot of the seafood for the Region. Built treehouses into a large forested area on the mouth of a bay.

- Shifting Alliance: The smallest sub-clan of the Ridge, lead by Kugelblitz. A very small clan of only Ridgebacks who live on the secluded southwest side of the Region.



Food Pavilion
The Food Pavilion acts as a center point for the Split Ridge. Its a large picnic area with lots of places to sit and eat. There's also a kitchen area and lots of fire pits for cooking. Every day, the Food Pavilion serves fresh and free lunch to any dragon who lives in the area. Although its primarily manned by Snowfeather, Strawberry and Teriyaki, its not uncommon to see other dragons lending a helping claw on busier days. Because its convivence and scenery right by the beach, its a popular place for dragons to hang out, even if its not lunch time.

Campgrounds / Hotel
The Campgrounds (sometimes also called the Hotel) is a large expanse of small caves carved into a cliff on the northern side of the Split Ridge. Its run by the very eccentric Norwood, and her son Moose. It offers lodging for any dragons passing through the area.

The Starry Point Library
The focal point of Starry Point, the Library is a huge expanse of books and knowledge carved into the interior of the mountain. It has multiple stories of bookshelves all along the cave walls. This Library is maintained by Casper. Although other sub-clans have their own libraries too, The Starry Point Library acts as a primary hub between them for the entire region.

Champion's Pit
Champion's Pit is a small sports arena built into the bottom of a small valley on the west side of Starry Point. Despite the somewhat concerning name, its all hosted in good fun for the public to enjoy. Managed by Scryer, this arena can host a number of different events and tournaments ranging from combat contests to a variety of spectator sports. Homerun and his buddies love playing all sorts of sports there.

The Marketplace
Arguably the most important spot in the whole Ridge, the Marketplace of the Outer Steppes is a huge trading area in the interior courtyard of the castle. There are several market stalls and shops set up for dragons from all over the region to sell their goods. Although the Duel Light Crossing up the road is much more well known globally for trading, the Marketplace still is an impressive spot for finding dragons from all over the world.

The Archive
If you're looking for a library in the Ridge, you're probably thinking of the Starry Point Library. However, there's another: The Archives at the Outer Steppes. This is more of a historical hoard though, and doesn't have that many modern texts. It is stuffed with old maps and scrolls, documents and clippings of times past. Many dragons work at the Archive to keep things neat and tidy, but it is primarily maintained by Daylight.

Temple of the Eleven
It is very normal for Dragon Clans to have a large, central area of worship to the Deities. The Temple of the Eleven is a modest part of the Outer Steppes that holds shrines to each of the Deities within it for worship. Of course, being in the Light Territories, the shrine to the Lightweaver is the largest and most centralized within the temple!

The Bathhouse
There's actually two bathhouse locations in the Ridge, one near Iron Mountain, and one near the Outer Steppes. Its important to keep your fur, scales and feathers clean! Run by Nijah and Vilin, the bathhouse is a public and (mostly) free location to come get hot water and soap every day of the week.

The Dockside Junction
This is a popular restaurant built into one of the Split Ridge's many cliffs. Run by Andromeda, this restaurant serves a wide variety of different cuisines. The Dockside Junction is usually only open at night, serving dinner, although sometimes they're open during the day during festivals. They also have a very bar and stage area, for holding small indoor concerts during the weekends.

Tundra's Talon Tavern
One of the most popular hangout spots in the entire Region, the Tundra's Talon is run by Aneira and her two sons on the south slope of Iron Mountain. They offer very traditional Light Flight cuisine, as well as a large variety of beverages and drinks. They also have a few empty rooms for travelers to stay. It's a very rowdy and jolly place, full of song and stories of ages long gone.

The Workshop
The Workshop is a large cave of Starry Point run by Gigabyte. She works on various mechanical devices, as well as hosts storage and space for other dragons to tinker on their own projects as well. The place is packed with all sorts of strange Arcane and Lightning devices, yet the place remains clean and well organized.

Toxic & Earth's Exalted Items™
Toxic and her brother, Earth run a second hand store, mostly dealing in clothing and fabric. Work with local tailors quite frequently.
