"It's just a little toridae...how bad could it hurt me?" ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ It's a rare thing for any team of wildlife specialists to lack a spirited, reckless persona in their number, and Thunder Hollow's Rumble Rangers do not deviate from the general norm. Gavilar--called Gavi by anyone who knows her--IS that reckless persona; she is, in fact, the very reason that the Rumble Rangers came by their name. Of course, her disregard for life and limb is tempered by a cheerful, unrelenting nature, but she is still cited as the group's primary liability. Gavi grew up in a loving, well-to-do family that nurtured her interest in the wilderness. She has fond memories of early trips to menageries and parks, watching the creatures found therein with wonder-filled eyes. She was even tutored by the clan's veterinarian to care for and heal the beasts that call Sornieth home. Her youth was joyful throughout, the only trouble being the scoldings she got for bringing back critters to take care of every other day. Though she would have been happy to remain in her birth clan, Wind dragons are seldom capable of setting down roots in such a manner. The call of wanderlust took her as she matured, and she bid heartfelt goodbyes to her kin before traveling where the breeze took her. She met many new friends along this endless path, including her future employer Zelus, who had also left the Wind lands in the not-so-distant past. Zelus was younger, then, and the two got on like a wildfire. When their paths split, they vowed to keep in touch. Gavi was taking on temporary work on a farm when Zelus' last letter found her. It told tales of the clan where he had finally settled, a place with deep admiration for the natural world. He wrote eagerly of a new assignment to manage acres upon acres of untouched wilderness. And he invited her to join him. As soon as she had collected her payment, Gavi accepted his invitation, making quick pace for Thunder Hollow. She was the first member initiated into the Rumble Rangers, then called the Hollow Wilderness Protection Agency. Ever since, she's been a bit of a loose cannon in the group. Her strength and passion are admirable assets, and she's certainly sincere enough, but her tendency to take unnecessary risks does sometimes irk her coworkers--including an older, more subdued Zelus. Regardless, Gavi is a valuable part of the Rumble Rangers, and she isn't likely to be leaving any time soon. code by milkchai |
