Pestis was rejected by the mate he had chosen. Heartbroken, he wandered through the Scarred Wastelands for some time, a lone mirror in a hostile and dangerous environment. There is a reason why mirrors usually live in packs and Pestis had a lot of close calls with beasts and dragons alike. His body bears the scars of his journeys and he eventually understood that he had to find a new home and pack or he would perish in the deserts. Confronted with a choice between life and death, pestis chose life and decided to search for his sister who had left her Clan to live in the Viridian Labyrinth. His time in the wilderness has made Pestis a strong and hardened fighter. He is an excellent hunter and tracker, too.

When Pestis finally found his sister and her pack Pestis was welcomed with open arms. Everyone could see that he was a survivor. Especially his sister was proud and happy to see him. Pestis is rather reclusive for a mirror. Though he loves his sister and values his pack, he often spends time alone hunting in the woods.
