TAOSHI brawler • bodyguard
better to fight for something than live for nothing

Brash and impetuous, Taoshi has been a brawler since she ripped her way out of her egg as a hatchling. She regularly got into arguments with her pacifist sister, Nimbus, and as soon as she was old enough Taoshi set off on her own. She eventually wound up in the prize fight circuit at Tempest Refuge, quickly establishing a reputation as a ferocious fighter. It was there that she met This Guy, and signed on to serve as a bodyguard to his husband Bhaskara, a scholar of goldlust.

Taoshi takes her duties as bodyguard very seriously, and surprises even herself with her competence, given her previous job as a brawler. She knows how to make herself look as intimidating as possible, but can also fade into the background when need be – such as when Bhaskara is speaking to a skittish goldlust patient. When they find themselves in Serenity, she often ends up assisting the clan warriors, though Bhaskara is her first priority.

Yi was assigned to Taoshi as her beastclan counterpart in the fighting rings, and their friendship developed soon after. The mith is just as obstinate as her dragon.

As his bodyguard, Taoshi is charged with protecting Bhaskara as he goes about the rather hazardous work of studying goldlust. Though there were some clashes at first, the pair have grown close thanks in large part to their similarly dry senses of humour.

Taoshi sometimes grows frustrated with the peaceful, placid ways of Plateau culture, and it's a relief to know someone with the same fire she has. Jingyi is Taoshi's closest friend.
