Mael is a Breton name. It means 'Prince'.

Like his name says, he does act like one. A real Prince, Mael has the attitude and looks of one. Gifted with wisdom from the Arcanist, he has the most knowledge of things in the entire clan. Up to date with the latest news and gossip, this causes him to have a slightly snobby attitude, a lot of pride, and a mouth ready to make a comeback at everything you say. He doesn't want people to help him, for he has too much pride for that.

Originating from the Starfall Isles, Mael often longs for home. If you ask him if he truly does, he'll snarl at you and tells you to mind your own business, but underneath his egoistic and snobby exterior, he is just a little insecure. Being sent away by his parents at a young age, he was unwanted. His magic was unstable, and he did not fit in the picture as the 'perfect son.' Thankfully, he found a place at the Moryvan clan, where he learned to control his magic, and not only control, but master it as well, becoming one of the strongest, in his opinion the strongest, sorcerer of the clan. Unused to praise, it gave him quite the boost, and the insecure young Mael vanished, giving way to the stubborn, slightly egoistic and snobby Mael we know today.

But he truly does care for the clan. If it hadn't been for them, he would've still been an outcast. Now he has a home, people who acknowledge his talents, and who care for him for who he is.

His high magical prowress has made him the Arcane representative of his clan, and being given this position made him possible preen. If only his parents could see him now, hah!
