Personality: Virgil is kind of a jerk. Sarcastic, snooty, and an insufferable know-it-all, he thinks he's better than you and isn't shy about making this fact known. The only one who can get him to cool his jets is his boyfriend Dante, who flatters Virgil enough to make the egotistical coatl feel properly respected. When he isn't being a cocky jerk, he is legitimately a fairly knowledgable person, and a surprisingly good teacher and guide. History: Back when Clan Uncia was a clan of mercenaries and assasins, the multi-gazed Virgil was their spymaster. Nigh impossible to sneak up on and with the ability to observe goings-on in every direction at once, he was exceedingly good at his job and the main element in many a successful mission for his clan. When Ymir took over, however, and started to gentle Uncia into a proper clan instead of a mercenary band, Virgil took full advantage of this opportunity to indulge in his secret passion- romanticism. He'd long indulged a hobby for writing poems and songs in his spare time, and now he made a full time job of writing several-thousand-word epics. Love Life: At first Virgil didn't care much for Dante. He was just somebody to babysit; a healer with few fighting skills who fainted at the sight of gore and had a bad habit of stopping to talk to everyone he came across even if there was somewhere else they were supposed to be going, Dante. Suffice to say the imperial didn't feel the same way. He adored Virgil, admiring his strength and intelligence. He even encouraged Virgil's love of poetry when he found out about it, cheerfully quoting lines from some of the poems to the surprise of the coatl. Though initially Virgil found this fan-worship a bit obnoxious, gradually he softened to Dante and agreed somewhat bemusedly to try dating- though he refuses to upgrade the relationship until Dante grows up a little and starts regarding Virgil as an equal instead an object of hero-worship. |
