Augury

At first glance, Augury seems not to care for others, especially strangers. However, this assumption is actually rather flawed, though not completely without merit. Augury, undoubtedly, inherited his mother's indifference and cold outer shell, but the dragon underneath is much more like his father. With his intellect and self-confidence, Augury simply doesn't see the point in needlessly socializing, usually relying on his sister to tell him the latest news and gossip buzzing about the clan rather than going out and asking around himself. Augury has no time for things that don't interest him, and the same principle applies to people. If you don't intrigue him, he won't bother with you, opting instead to study or train with Graceful. There is one who's caught his attention, however- Caldera. Her polarizing antics drew him in from day one, and even now, Augury has only really tried to open up to her. They didn't hit it off very great, though, bickering with each other daily and, through their squabbling, growing closer and closer. They manage to keep this a secret from others, but they both know that they won't be able to forever, and have talked at length about how to handle their unexpected friendship getting out. Augury, when he peeks through his shell, is a somewhat awkward guy who just wants the best for those around him, and only sees himself as a nuisance, despite many holding him in high regard.

Despite their best efforts, after being outed as a couple by a bumbling Scatter, Caldera and Augury's relationship crumbled. Miserable and upset with his sister, Augury left to travel the world. However, early into this soul-searching trip, he landed in the Filthy One's domain. Finding himself stuck in a place known as Blight's Bane, Augury got to know the dragons around him while he tried to solve the riddle of the curse written in ancient runes. There, he met a younger imperial named Sveta who reminded him a good deal of his sister, Scatter. Though initially he was somewhat cold to her, after various attempts on her side Augury finally let Sveta in. The two found each other infinitely interesting, Augury asking about what it was like to only remember Blight's Bane, and Sveta asking what it was like at his clan's lair. The two grew closer and closer until, seemingly overnight, they never left each other's side. Many joked about this, and while it angered Augury, Sveta was able to calm him and keep him level-headed. Most agree that their relationship was one of the best to come out of the cursed grounds, and was probably salvation for them both.
