Zyrephon, from the moment he first peeked from his ignited egg, had a distinct eye for analysis and, more importantly, science. His mother, Melosa, is an assistant to his grandfather, who spends his time as an inventor. His father, Vudan, is the explorer offspring of said inventor. You could imagine their surprise when Zyrephon expressed his extremely advanced mind and thoughts, and the two knew immediately that they needed his grandfather Uel's help with the knowledge-hungry hatchling. Much like Uel, Zyrephon got into a lot of trouble in his early life, known for blasting in like a storm and leaving just as chaotically. He would satisfy his ever-growing curiosity and boredom by playing pranks, setting up elaborate jokes and getting the attention of those around him, which was both good and bad. Most either didn't let him out of their sight, or didn't let him into their lives, leaving Zyrephon lonely and desperate for anything to do. His grandfather helped, of course, but he was getting on in years and had learned the importance of patience. Zyrephon had not. Everything changed for him when he decided to venture from the Flamecaller's realm into the unknowns of Sornieth. No one could have predicted his leave, as it was sudden and spur of the moment, but it seemed Zyrephon did take after his father, in a way. Since his leave, he's been in search of good friends and a place to call home, where the dragons appreciate him, even in his impatience and quirkiness. This is what he desires most. Talented as both an explorer and inventor, it's needless to say, but Zyrephon is a genius. His mind is constantly running at mach speed and his tongue can barely catch up to properly express the words he's trying to say. To call him rash would be generous; he's a foolhardy dragon at heart through and through. Zyrephon's way of making decisions or passing judgement is to think on the subject for a bit, and voice his immediate thoughts. This makes him blunt, straight to the point and oftentimes a bit ruder than he would like. However, he does try for subtlety. He just isn't good at it. |
