VIRENS WOLFRUNNER ANXIOUS | KIND | STUBBORN ╰ automated bio template by squidragon |
╭
To be raised in love is a rare luxury for the children of Lath and Balith. Their legacy has been one of suffering, one of nests shattered and children torn away from parents long before it was proper. To be raised in love was, for many of their children, impossible, almost unthinkable, powerless to protect the eggs they loved so dearly. And then one day, finally, they returned home. Virens was born in Nature, the firstborn of a brand new legacy. He takes greatly after his mother, possessing extensive magical reserves that hum electric at his talons. He turned to healing as his outlet, calling forth the living energy of the world around him to mend flesh and stave off illness. He excels at it, deep injuries fading at his will, broken bones settling back into place--perhaps, given time, they claim he will even be able to restore life to that which lost it. The claims of his power certainly don't seem to go to his head, however. He's quiet and a bit shy, preferring to keep to the smaller company of just Aurea and the Pack, despite the fact that he could easily serve monarchs and emperors and clan leaders with how powerful his healing skills are. He prefers the relative quiet of the Pack, of the stoic Kyrja and the playful Kalea, the hidden warmth of Mellori, the bold recklessness of Aurea. He treats their injuries with delicate, precise care, kind and gentle in actions and words. Born in Little Eden, he was raised in the care of not only his parents but the clan as a whole, an upbringing that the whole clan had a hand in. He grew up alongside Aurea, the pair of them often getting into all sorts of trouble usually at her suggesting. However, the time came when Virens was to step into the world and make a name for himself, leaving Little Eden to explore and find his own legacy. To his chagrin, Aurea followed along despite her youth. They found themselves blown off course into the Wastelands by a storm, crashing down painfully in one of the many scattered quarantine zones. This luck allowed Virens to patch them up, drawing upon the life energy around them--most of the Wastelands was, after all, arid and lifeless. Said luck ran afoul however when serthis attacked, a nest of the Beastclan having made camp within the quarantine zone in hiding. They saw an opportunity to kill, if not enslave the pair of young imperials, and swarmed, quickly routing the young dragons. The sound of howls filled Virens' ears as he blacked out, and when he awoke he saw that it was not a serthis peering down at him but a strange mechanical dog, a creature of steel and bone and flesh. He had been rescued by Mellori, well-known and spoken of in Little Eden. She was going to escort the pair back to Little Eden, but Aurea insisted on staying, saying they could make themselves useful. He didn't argue. Thus, Wolfrunner Virens finds himself as part of the Pack, acting as a healer for the small group. He's made himself useful several times over--even if he lacks in physical fighting skill, the Pack has already taken to listening to him, and his healing ability has served to aid Mellori and her daughters several times over. With time, Mellori began to accept the pair into her Pack properly, and the small family of Mellori and her daughters grew.
