Class: Barbarian

Primal Path: Path of the Berserker

Background:

Raatha Sprucenails is rather odd, even for a kobold. Even as a hatchling she showed a unique bravery unheard of in her species and a potent rage against their treatment at the hands of others. She always put her pack before herself, as all kobolds do, and worked fiercely to defend their home from intruders.

However, it was all for naught as the local dwarves caught wind of the pack's whereabouts and wiped them out in a series of invasions. Their underground tunnels were flooded with the dying, both kobold and dwarven bodies blocking the way and snared in the traps set by each side.

Raatha managed to escape by burrowing through one of the tunnels they used for relieving themselves, her tiny heart pounding furiously as she emerged out into a damp mountainside. Leaving her old home behind she set out down the steep rocks and eventually, in desperation and hunger, attempted to steal some food from a roving band of barbarians.

But her fatigue made her sloppy and Raatha was captured; however, the barbarians saw a fire in her as she fought tooth and nail to escape and spared her. Amused by her determination their leader offered her a place in the band and the training to harness her rage into something more productive.

Raatha accepted, and she trained with them until the itch to go make something of herself, to prove her people's place in this world, became all consuming. Kobolds are more than pawns to be used and discarded, and she would show everyone this fact.

With the blessings of her band, Raatha forged her way to a nearby port and took passage on the cheapest ship bound for adventure, eager to see what fortune she could find.

After attempting to gain entry into Basilwick's School of Herocraft & Adventuring and being denied, she instead made her way to their sister university: Wigglesnap Community Adventuring College. Here she hopes to make a name for herself as the greatest barbarian who ever lived!
