Jezekil keeps watch over the Eastern gates of the Ravenwatchers' clangrounds, only allowing clan members or those who have proven themselves worthy to enter. How does one prove themselves worthy? They must each answer a puzzle of her own creation; only by besting her in a game of wits are visiting dragons allowed entry. Many fail, for the sight of her dark hollow eyes dripping darkness unsettle them enough to lose their concentration. Her fellow clanmates have long since had to get used to the sight of her dark, dripping eyes at the entranceways and along the clan's tunnels and passageways.

She has a tendency of judging dragons based on their looks and scaling the difficulty of the puzzle accordingly. Gilings, who often passes by her post on his way to patrol, often comments that it is not the way it should be. She ignores him anyway. The two do occasionally share competitive games of cards and chess when their breaktimes coincide. The current score between them is currently 34 wins 7 ties and 20 losses in her favor. Gilings insists it's because she cheats but no one has caught her in the act. Yet. With Xeiras, who visits frequently, she instead trades riddles and rhymes with the other, taking the opportunity to learn new puzzles and riddles from Flights far away from her home.
The dragon that one might say is her closest friend would surprisingly be Serenity. Not many would expect the often quiet leader of the clan to be one with a tolerance for Jezekil's constant perchance for tricks upsetting order and stability. The pair would disagree with the assumption, for it is in the heart of every dragon born under the Shadows to have a love and appreciation for such subterfuge and nonsense livening up everyone else's daily lives. Serenity does at least, reign in the more dangerous antics of hers, for the clan's safety is still paramount. Regardless, Jezekil still enjoys all her usual riddling and pranking on her usual victims of Gilings and Idryianc, the ones whom she encounters frequently enough to set something up on them. They don't always work on Idryianc though, and Gilings' instincts and sharp sense of smell sometimes tips him off before she can do anything to him. She still doesn't allow herself to get dissuaded and instead renews her prank-testing on the unknowing visitors and travelers to the Ravenwatchers' clangrounds.
