Marzanna is a pagan Slavic goddess associated with seasonal rites based on the idea of death and rebirth of nature. She is an ancient goddess associated with winter's death and rebirth and dreams. In ancient Slavic rites the death of the Goddess Marzanna at the end winter, becomes the rebirth of Spring of the Goddess Kostroma (Russian), Lada, Vesna representing the coming of Spring.

Polish goddess of death and winter. Her name comes from Slavic words meaning to "freeze" or "frozen," and is the meaning of the month of March. She was ritually burned and drowned yearly; effigies made with the last straw of last years' harvest, dressed in white with a broom and cycle. She is decorated with ribbons, myrtle, or woodruff and was carried in a procession of the people to a river. They burned and drowned her to rid themselves of the cold, dark season of death to welcome the spring. Both were necessary as Sun (fire) and Rainfall (water) were necessary for the fertility of the year's crops. In Christian times she is equated with Saint Maria, and is the consort of Dazbog, who is associated with Saint Ivan. On Saint Ivan's day(summer solstice again); Mary is said to bathe with together with Ivan in a ritual purification. Mary sits on a stone or a golden throne and sews, suggesting that she might be associated with fate and death. Mary is also associated with swans.

It goes without saying that Khione's favorite time of the year is the Crystalline Gala. She uses her powers to create glittering, icy sculptures, and decorate the lair with them.
Khione has a rapport with Glasya - partly because of their shared affinity for all things Ice, and mostly because both of them know what it's like to be avoided, and have difficulties relating to 'normal' dragons.
Khione loves cold desserts, like ice cream, sorbet, and shaved ice.

Khione has a really extreme sense of justice concerning those who can't defend themselves. If she has a target, she will chase them from afar, just enough to unsettle them. She will whip up an ice storm to drive them into and just as they're losing their bearings, she'll swoop in and grasp them and fly straight up into the icy storm where she'll then drop them from a great height... much like a mythical beast...

Khione would be the type to really care about her appearance, and always looking as sharp as ever in her dark-themed clothing. Shaved ice curry would be her favourite meal. Most likely to get arrested for borderline copying someone else's ice sculpture (this is a joke please dont take it to heart).
