 BIOGRAPHY XXXXannerius is a gruff, standoffish dragon who doesn’t speak much. He is passionate about his job at the Observatory. While the other Astronomers love to help guests and give astronomy lessons, Xan prefers to throw himself into his studies of the night sky and ignore their patrons. Most of the time, if the sky is dark, you can find Xan at the telescope scribbling something in one of his numerous notebooks. Many of the notes found in the Observatory were written by Xan in his strangely neat handwriting. During the day, Xan sleeps as much as he can so he is fresh and ready to work when the sun goes down. XXXWhile growing up, Xan was close to his sisters, though he tended to enjoy Lylarylyn’s company more so than Wennona’s. There was something about Wennona that felt off to Xan. He could never pinpoint what it was, and he was secretly happy when Lyla encouraged Wennona to leave. When she came back again as Wesmoteus, Xan was the last member of their family to accept the change in his sister. XXXXannerius realized that he’d known all along that something was different about Wennona and felt guilty for the way he'd felt about her. He eventually apologized for never accepting Wesmoteus when they were younger. Now, Xan and Wes are much closer. The only time Xan visits festivals or celebrations is to see his siblings and catch up with them. XXXJack is Xan’s Extinguished Jackalope Familiar. The two encountered one another for the first time early one morning when Xan was sleepily trudging his way home from the Observatory after yet another all-nighter. It always takes Xan’s eyes a little while to readjust after staring at the stars through the telescope all night, so he didn’t see the Jackalope in the first rays of the morning sun. Xan accidentally stepped on Jack and injured him. XXXFeeling terribly sorry, Xan took Jack to Forius, the Healer with an affinity for animals. After checking that Jack didn’t have broken bones and was just bruised, Forius told Xan how to help Jack heal. Once Jack was all better, he refused to leave Xan and decided to stay with the Spiral. He helps Xan in the Observatory now, sorting through notes and making sure that Xan remembers to eat. |
