Firecaller, despite being named after the god of fire herself, never felt any connection to her heritage. Rather, she felt more drawn to the teachings of the Stormcatcher. It was because of this that she resigned from her place as the heir to the clan, despite being the firstborn. Her younger brother Flameborn took up the mantle, although he himself doubted his readiness.

Even accounting for her disloyalty to her flight, perhaps Firecaller's greatest sin was her lack of a Charge. After countless journeys around Sornieth on a mad hunt for it, Firecaller resigned herself to what would be the life of an outcast had she not been royalty among the Clan.

While the hunt for her Charge had been abandoned, Firecaller's desire for one had not. Remembering the teachings of the Stormcatcher she had been so loyal to, she turned to invention. She always hoped she could create something she could have that legendary connection to.

It was one day during one of her sessions of mad creation when a new dragon joined the clan. He was a large ridgeback, a great glowing shade of blue, followed by dark clouds wherever he stepped. Although she didn't feel the draw of a guardian to its Charge, she did feel the draw of a dragon without a mate to a rather handsome one.

Shocker, as Firecaller would learn he was called, would frequently assist her in her inventing. And as the representative of Lightning to the clan, he shared many moments with her discussing their beliefs. It was through both of these things that over time, the two fell in love.

Now, the two happily build away in their workshop, bonded for life. Although Firecaller still hasn't found her Charge, she has still certainly found someone very special.
