Calcifer is the soft-spoken chef for the clan. Not so skilled at hunting and killing, he instead prefers seasoning and roasting the wild game the clan’s hunters bring him. Although he may appear pale and ghostly, Calcifer is full of contradictions and despite being an ice dragon, he can conjure fire with a snap of his talons. His skill with manipulating fire always leaves his decadent dishes cooked to perfection. Although he is a talented chef, Calcifer rarely prepares extravagant feasts for the clan, except on special holidays or after a great clan victory in combat. Not letting any scrap of prey or herb go to waste, Calcifer shows his appreciation and respect for the clan’s hunters by preparing meals that keep their bodies strong and fit. His favorite pastime is figuring out each clan member’s favorite food and then tailoring a dish to suit their unique tastes. Calcifer sees personalities as flavors and spends time getting to know every clan member personally, a process which sometimes takes months, before settling into his kitchen and getting to work. Once a dragon has tasted “their” dish, they find that they will never devour something better in all the world as long as they live.
