Falcataria

Falcataria is charming- endlessly charming. Its tough not to be carried along on his soft melodic voice, on his gentle laughter. When he does his job, strumming away on his harp and letting his voice fill the room, everyone is captivated by him. It doesn't matter if he's sitting in the dark corner of a tavern or perched high on a pedestal in a grand hall.

His job is to listen for whispers - secrets, plans, the discontented - and to use a well-placed joke or tune to turn the tides. As such he defends the Clan and keeps peace as much as Gentiana or other clan magic users. Some, in fact, believe what he does must be magic - but no, it is simply countless hours of practicing his crafts of music and empathy.


Falcataria is a small genus of leguminous trees native to Papua New Guinea and Australia. Falcataria is derived from the latin word 'falcate': curved like a scythe or sickle; hooked; falciform, like this plant’s leaves. Falcons are named from the same latin root due to their hooked claws.
