Halina is a sophisticated and elegant southern belle, who speaks with a sweet southern drawl and moves with such grace she might as well be the wind itself. Her presence is constant in the clan’s high social circles, and she’s among the younger dragons who can be seen frequently associating with high-society icons like Snowshine, Shimmer, and Anasa. While she can occasionally say things that come across as ignorant or even rude, she really doesn’t mean to, and is truly speaking from a place of ignorance rather than malice. However, although she tries her best to be kind and graceful, her high society upbringing has led her to turn up her nose at behaviors she views as “lesser” than her, or particularly uncouth.

Halina has a soft spot for her mate, Wendin, who can do no wrong in her eyes, no matter how “uncouth” whatever he does may be. Halina has been Wendin’s biggest supporter for a very long time, and she will continue to do whatever she can to uplift him and help with his mapmaking. On top of tolerating any socially unacceptable things Wendin may do, Halina is also willing to do things she usually considers unsightly for someone of her social standing if it’s for Wendin.

Halina is particularly fascinated by Wind dragons who have found other forms of air transportation for themselves, whether it be by manipulating their own Wind magic or by creating revolutionary new transportation devices, such as hot air balloons. Hot air balloons are her favorite; she considers the image romantic. She has had this interest since long before she met Wendin, although his disability and subsequent needs have only increased this interest. Halina is more than capable of flying on her own, and is in fact a very graceful flier, but she greatly admires the ingenuity she sees in her Wind siblings and looks forward to a day when these alternative modes of transportation become commonplace, when she can look into the sky and see dozens upon dozens of hot air balloons.
