 S U M M A R Y
Deen is Etruria's Knight's Captain. He is strong and reliable and does his job with few words and even fewer complaints. He's not much for making friends and chatting over a nice meal, but he is amicable enough when it's needed.

He doesn't mean to push others away, he simply has a storied past and doesn't like having to divulge much about himself to others. He has a soft spot for his mate Sonya, the two have been there for each other through many tough times. Deen still struggles with believing they've finally found a place to truly call a home.

Deen doesn't do small talk, he will only voice his own opinions on things after others persist on the matter. When he does so however, he is shown to have a smart and savvy side to him. Deen was born to a long line of soldiers, his father having rose through the ranks and become a commander. Deen underwent rigorous training since his youth, joining his father's army when he came of age.

Becoming engaged to a feudal lord's daughter, he was set to inherit the lord's peerage. However, while he was away for a mission, their mansion was attacked. As he rushed back upon hearing the news, he himself was attacked and lost his left eye. Reaching the mansion, he found his wife, whose form had completely changed. She had been taken by madness, corrupted by the man who led the attack. To kill his beloved fiancee and enact revenge on the man who took his eye, he took the lord's heirloom, the Brave Sword.

With his prowess for combat and no place to turn to, Deen took up the first opportunity for employment he could find. Since coming to Valentia he has found some solace in meeting Sonya. The two share storied pasts and found it easy to open up to one another. To Deen the life he's ended up with has made all the hardship worthwhile.
