 S U M M A R Y
Hazel is incredibly studious and very deliberate. She likes when things make sense and tries to find the logic in everything. She's quite confident in herself and is very close to her brother, Briar. He guards the dungeon in Etruria, and as such she worries about the prisoner Artemia having an affect on him long term.

Briar has always been introspective and withdrawn, he doesn't interact with many besides Hazel. She fears he'll be easily influenced by the ranger due to his minimal interactions with others. She wishes Quin and Parthia would put a little more faith in her and in others instead of only relying on themselves to run the empire.

As steward and tactician to the empire, Hazel is Quin's right hand. Or, she is supposed to be. Quin tries to run the city, and the empire as a whole, by himself. Hazel knows he'll run himself into the ground if he keeps it up, so the least she can do is take care of the day to day affairs at house Etruria so he doesn't have to worry about that as well. He has so much on his plate already. Hazel also tries to keep Chanel and Priam in check for Quin's sake. She often visits the library in Caelin with Anja, they're great study buddies.

Hazel came to Etruria with her brother, Briar because the two were abandoned by their parents as children, and Hazel's aptitude for learning as well as for combat with a bow landed her the position as steward. Briar being a bit of a brute with more brawn than brain was offered the position of dungeon guard. Hazel checks in on Briar often, as she's always looked out for her brother and continues to do so, even though they're adults now.
