    Kaja howled as she was thrown from the city wall, and beat her heavy gem encrusted wings furiously trying to slow her decent. She ended up landing with a squelch in a deep puddle of mud.

    "You dare disgrace a goddess this way," She turned and shrieked at the wall top, but there was no one there to hear. They hadn't even stayed to watch.

    "There's a stream just a little way north of here if you want to wash up. I'll carry you if you like."

    Kaja found herself looking into the large brown guileless eyes of a male Tundra. She hadn't heard him approach and it took several deep breaths to recover from the shock of him being so close.

    "Your generosity is unexpected but welcome." She held her arms up and allowed herself to be placed on his back. If he minded the mud she dripped on him, he didn't show it.

    "Nisha said I would find you there. She's rarely wrong about these things." He said the sentence as if he was completely unaware of what the word cryptic even meant.

    "Who's Nisha?"

    "Our prophet." He gestured to the treeline where a striking red-orange Cotal was waiting. "My name's Steam. We're traveling north. Nisha says she'll know where we're going when we get there." Now that they were closer Kaja could see that there were several other dragons waiting for them. They didn't look like a coherent sort of lair, but then she thought, most pilgrims wouldn't.

    "Well then, you had better take me with you. I'm Kaja the goddess of prosperity after all. It would be very auspicious." It wasn't as though her fortune could get any worse.
