" What would it be like to be a tone? Just dancing on the wind, lighter than a feather. Or to be a ray of sunshine? Or a butterfly? I wish I was a butterfly..." Curious | Energetic | Scatter-Brained |
The Sunshine-Squad (Art by Rillia) invisibleinvisibleinvisible |
Silently, Estellaria watched the stars high above her head. They were beautiful, almost like glistering eyes that watched her from the sky. Were her parents up there, watching her as well? She closed her eyes, recalling the smell of her mother’s fur and the color of her father’s eyes. A sneeze escaped her and she giggled. Maybe, they were thinking about her as well. Surely they were. One day, she’d meet them again.
Personality
|
Estellaria is very curious and playful. She loves being outside and enjoys doing even the silliest of chores, may it be collecting food or hunting flies in the cave. She is helpful, but a little scatter-brained. Even though she usually does her tasks, she might take some time to do so, as her thoughts often drift off somewhere else. By now, all dragons know that one should keep her occupied, because when she is bored, she'll start doing whatever comes to her mind. And Estellaria gets bored very fast. The young Spiral has a cheerful disposition and loves to infect others with her good mood. This made her very good friends with Summer. Together, they founded the Sunshine-Squad, spreading joy and happiness... very much to the dismay of Monde and Schnee. |
Background
Estellaria was still a hatchling when her and her family arrived at Focal Point. They had made their long and troublesome way from the boundary between the Tangled Wood and the Scarred Wasteland through the Sea of a Thousand Currents to avoid passing through the Plaguebringer’s domain. It was on this journey that Estellaria was born, together with her siblings from the same nest. From the very first moment, her and her parents had a tight bond. Xenres and Aase carried their hatchlings on their backs during their travels until they were able to fly by themselves. They never left anyone behind and showed love and support whenever possible. But when they arrived at Focal Point, their taxing path was far from over. They encountered Claudius and his guardians, who hindered them from making their way towards the tower. Under threat of violence, Xenres and Aase had to retreat. Their dream, however, they did not give up. In the shadows of the night, the two dragons gathered their hatchlings and sneaked past Claudius’ guards. Only guided by the little light emitting from the observatory, they set out to cross the chasm. Shortly after they set off, the treacherous winds and shooting meteors led to a disaster. Still an unexperienced flier, Estellaria tried to stay as close to her parents as possible, but a strong gust sent her spinning. She could not correct her course, her wings too weak to catch her. Her father tried to catch her, but the meteors raining from the sky made it impossible to reach her. Helplessly, her parents had to watch their daughter fall into the sea. They tried to find and rescue her, but the winds were too strong, the meteors too many. Their other hatchlings were in severe danger of falling themselves. Grief-stricken, they had to turn away from their lost child. But the gods smiled at Estellaria. From the edge of Starwood Strand, Ornes watched the hatchling fall. Immediately, the Skydancer rushed to help. Being closer to the water’s surface, it was a lot easier for him to reach the young Spiral and save it from the waves. He brought her home to the Rose Spar. Many days and nights, he kept watch, hoping to find Estellaria’s parents and reunite the family. However, he never saw them return. Estellaria’s parents did not join the ranks of the Arcanist. Clinging to the small hope their daughter might still be alive, they left Focal Point again and settled down in the Southern Icefield. Maybe one day, destiny will reunite them. |
Relationships
Ornes means a lot to Estellaria. She knows he is not her real father, however, it doesn’t make any difference to her. She loves him to bits and would do anything to make him proud. Often she finds herself struggling with this due to her forgetfulness and her scatter-brain. But while Ornes cannot understand her most often, he still provides all the support she needs. |
When Summer arrived at the lair, Estellaria immediately was fascinated. Summer seemed as enthusiastic as herself, even though the druid was a lot calmer and more level-headed. Estellaria befriended her easily and nowadays, the two of them are almost inseparable, spreading good mood. Estellaria will also always be there to cheer Summer back up should she be down. |
As a lover of stories and music, Estellaria could listen to Cachun for hours. She is amazed by his skill and his talent and often wished she could do what he does. He tried to teach her a few times, but Estellaria lacks the concentration and the dedication it takes to master an instrument. She can play a few simple songs though. However, Estellaria is completely oblivious of Cachun’s feelings for her. |
