Untitled22-1.jpg Do you hear it? The song of heart break coming from the bright and cheery sea? He calls and cries in search of the broken hearted amongst the crystal surface. They come to him in a fevered and lucid trances, aware yet not. Once his soft lips touch, all their pain vanishes taking everything with it leaving them to beleive nothing ever happened. He now spends some time upon our land, searching from some peace before he must start the cycle once again.

So if it comes time for you to take him and you lack a space I will hold a dragon for the week you have Keani. I ask that y'all pm me here or on the amino letting me know if you did something besides lore. I plan to do a large shout out post on my birthday for y'all and hopefully do something special if I'm able. If you have any questions ask me please, I promise not to bite. I will be following his journey as he goes and watching his story unfold. I wish you all luck and fun with this Siren.
P.S. Depending on how you write he could be with your clan for months instead of a week. You have freedon as long as they can run together! ;)
Personality wrote:
Keani is an odd one. Being away from dragonkind for over 300 years, has made it so he doesn't understand most social cues of the modern-day dragons. He is very clever and picks up on subtle body language even though he pretends to be dim and naive at times. He has lots of fun telling hatchlings "made up" stories of unusual creatures. He is a selective mute; he doesn't speak around adult dragons normally, this is due to something before he became the "Poseidon" and created the curse (maybe YOU can decide that ;D). Keani is a dimisexual dragon. In order to feel a sexual attraction to another dragon he needs a strong emotional bond so he likely won't be attracted to someone. He sees himself as weird and out of place because the last time he was among dragons, there was only heterosexual relationships and different breeds never mixed. Now.. Dear lord this poor immortal is confused.

A haunting song carries across the still wind, falling upon the ears of a she dragon. Standing alone sobbing, as the fresh heartbreak burns in the reminder of the lost friend and bitter rejection. The song seeming wraps around her demanding to follow it. She turns and takes off the full moon casting an eerie glow on the trees she barely manages to dodge. She lands on the shore of the great sea stepping forward as the song seemingly grows in volume. She starts to run into the water only to freeze when the song abruptly stops. The water pools around her waist as her talons sink into the sand, she hesitantly looks around. The moon illuminates a single figure, a little in front of the Dragoness. The figure, what seems to be a merman swims around the dragon "Oh, you poor child, this pain you feel isn't fair to you. Is it?" The dragoness watches him "What do you-" The merman smiles sadly "Would you change things, if you could?" The dragoness sighs "I'd forget everything if I could, I'd just disappear and never look back." The merman reaches a hand out to her "Take my hand and let me help you." The dragoness reaches out and grasps him with her clawed fingers as he drags her below the surface and presses his lips against hers causing a blinding light to engulf them.

The dragoness disappeared, amongst the waves free of the pain that had once consumed her and the merman was replaced by a strong pearlcatcher whose body matched the sea. He glanced up to the gold ringed moon a spoke with a soft and honeyed voice "It's been a long time since I've walked these lands, Theá mou. How much has changed I wonder." With somewhat unsteady legs he walks into the very forest the dragoness came from. He wonders for a while before he encounters group of dragons.

Keani followed the river to Elysian. The river had lead from the ocean, therefore it was part of the ocean, right? The ocean would never decieve him. He followed the river through the forests, through the mountains, and when the river flowed through Elysian, the beautiful shadow clan, that is where he went.
The city was in a huge cave, which was in a ravine, which was in the Tangled Wood, which was in Sorneith. It was pretty confusing if you thought about it, and Keani decided not to. There was a dragon there waiting when the Pearlcatcher arrived, a small Tundra. He introduced himself as Dublin, and he was quite a handsome dragon. Keani studied him for a moment, facinated. But he had a very short attention span, and he soon forgot about the Tundra.
Then, right as he was about to follow the river out of this strange place, a huge Imperial landed before Keani. Her name was Pea, and she had come to take him away. He screeched, backing away from the dragon and towards the river. Towards home. It was instinct to do so, even after Pea said that he was welcome to stay in Elysian, or make a safe and guided passage through the city(though Keani wouldn't call this cave with dragons a city).
The ocean had lead him here. Or had it? Was the river still really home, if he could barely smell the salt of the ocean, barely remember the taste of it on his tounge? It had to have been the ocean, he said to himself. The ocean brought him here for a reason, and that meant he had to stay.
So he nodded his head to the great Imperial, and let Dublin lead him away from his beloved river.
Keani followed the Tundra, Dublin, as he headed towards the shops in the middle of the cave. The river flowed through the area, but Dublin flew the other way. They landed in front of a big building, decorated in lights and banners of all shapes and sizes. Keani and the Tundra walked inside. There was something familiar about the music that Keani heard playing. Dublin approached a female Pearlcatcher, and Keani followed hesitantly. There was no reason for him to trust the dragon. She introduced herself as Seafoam, but he didn’t hear much of anything else as she blabbered on to Dublin, but then he realized they were talking to him.
“You can stay at my Inn,” Seafoam offered. “I try to make everyone at home in Elysian.” When Keani didn’t reply, Dublin whispered something to the keeper of the Inn. She nodded, and Dublin smiled warmly at Keani before flying away.
“What’s your name?” Seafoam asked, flapping her wings at him. He just shook his head. “Well, I want to show you something. Dublin told me you liked the river. At the sound of his home’s name on her tongue, Keani snapped to attention. Where was this strange dragon going to take him?
Seafoam led Keani to the back of the building, through a cluster of trees, and saw a lake. Not just any lake, a spring, which was kind of disappointing. It was small, but so deep Keani couldn’t see the bottom. The trees above blocked the sky, if you could even see it inside the cave he was trapped in. But the spring… the spring was beautiful. It didn’t smell like the ocean, but it was better than nothing. The water glistened in the light of the firebugs around them.
He made that his home for the night, deciding not to sleep in the In that Seafoam had offered. There were many animals that came to poke their head in the hideaway, but when they saw him they scattered off.
He woke up the next morning and decided to explore. He flew away from the hidden spring, and towards the meadow that he had seen the day before. It was huge, and when he approached he noticed there were a bunch of younglings playing around. He tilted his head at the different breeds playing with each other, but he learned from the other clan that he visited that this was a normal occurrence nowadays.
He spent most of the day telling them stories, playing with them, and having fun. But when the sun started to set and the parents of the younglings started to fly over, Keani flew away without a second glance. Seafoam checked up on him that night, and brought him some plants and insects for him to eat. He accepted the food, and spent that night sleeping next to the spring.
He spent the next day in the village, teasing the other dragons and exploring. He decided then that Elysian wasn't half bad. He met Iolite, and she showed him the familiars that she took care of. He walked out of her shop with a Maren Shark Hunter to befriend (though she was already warming up to the Pearlcatcher).
The next few days went by, and Keani spent his time playing with his familiar, Irene, telling stories to the hatchlings, playing trickes on the dragons in Elysian, and "learning" how to fish with Dublin. He already knew how, of course, but he liked acting naive around the Tundra.
He also found some apparel that he fancied in Felixia's shop, and he bought it. He tried to get some from Raura as well, but the huge Imperial wouldn't let him touch her hoard of objects.
One day, while Keani was flying over to the meadow, a Skydancer stopped him. He was a strange dragon even to Keani, a seer with many eyes. The dragon told him telepathically that it was time for him to leave Elysian, and it was as if Keani was snapped out of a trance. The Skydancer told him to visit Dahlia, and she would help.
So Keani and Irene went to Dahlia, a Wildclaw witch that everyone in Elysian knew the name of. It seemed as if Dahlia was waiting for him, and he didn't have to explain to her why he was there. She tapped her claw on the ground twice, and Keani was back in the dense forest by the river where he was before he found Elysian. Hopefully the next clan he visits will be as accepting as that odd Shadow clan.

When Keani left Elysian, he felt lost and even found himself wandering aimlessly from the dark swamps of The Tangled Wood, along the waters of the Sea of A Thousand Currents into the Scarred Wasteland and further so into the Starfall Isles. He trusted his instincts, following his instinct towards the magic-infused terrain of the Isles before finding himself in a strange predicament. Before making it to the Isles, a trip that took a few days, all dragons that were about where doing what he usually saw newer dragons do, such as scavenging, building homes, and foraging in their respective regions, but now Sornieth seemed almost quiet around him, the few dragons he spotted flying south towards the colder seas, some coming back with pouches of items including what looked like a white powder. As interested as he was, he knew he couldnt go straight towards the cold seas and avoid the Isles again.

It didnt take long for Keani's travels near the Crystalspine Reaches met in a meeting with another dragon, this time with two Guardians that didn't seem... Native. One, the taller female of the two, had bright red eyes that were unlike the pinks he's seen here. The other was even more drastic, holding eyes that reminded him of The Scarred Wastelands, as they unnatural stuck to his face and resembled bright pustulates.

"Oh! You seem lost traveller!" The brown Guardian greeted, her head held lower to be at eye contact with him. His voice, once feeling strong as he wandered into the region now felt quiet, confusing the Guardian. "Ah... Would you just like to come back to our-" "Maybe he's not lost, Kimuri-" The lower, smaller Guardian spoke up, initiating an argument that caused Keani just to back away. Yeah, he wasn't willing to deal with two fighting Guardians, instead moving away from the waters to investigate some beautiful trees, looking back towards the arguing dragons before completely slinking away towards the glittery trees.

He couldnt remember seeing these trees before, the way the light danced on them entrancing the drake to walk forward, deeper and deeper into the dense forests. Without much thought, the Pearlcatcher walked forward into a small clearing, almost tripping upon an emptied out tree hollow filled with crystal-encased eggs. Strange. Were these... Left here...? He didnt even notice the rustling behind him until it was too late, the Pearlcatcher soon getting approached by a large bogsneak, a mirror, and a spiral surrounded in small purple fireflies. "You. Who, are you?" The taller Bogsneak called out, the Pearlcatcher backing off, preparing to fly off before two familiar voices called out.

"HE'S FINE DONT TOUCH HIM-"

The three dragonesses seemed to back off immediately upon the brown guardian returning, much to the relief of the awkwardly silent Pearlcatcher. "He's just a traveller! Hes not trying to steal the eggs!" The bogsneak was confused at first, taking a bit to understand before making a quick noise and lowering her fins to the Pearlcatcher. "My apologies! Of course it would be a traveller- Er, youre welcome to stay nearby if you're still interested-" She continued to ramble a bit longer, the Pearlcatcher looking at the group around him. Despite the shenanigans, he might stay nearby.

The next few days were quite enjoyful. He ended up communicating with the small Mirror who referred to herself as the Eggtender, even warming up enough to help with the hatchlings an eggs. The Leader, Teal, although shy and distant was awfully nice compared to most bogsneaks that chased him down and those two Guardians, Kimuri and Aba, seemed to take him out on trips to collect snow for the holidays, and take it to another mirror for prizes, some of which immensely entertaining the Pearlcatcher and even teaching him some on these.... Interesting customs. All in all, it turned out to be a weirdly pleasant trip

Upon his time of leaving, the Guardian twins gave him a gift, a large sum of snow to use as he leaves as well as a small pool of glowing water to turn his claws a glowing neon blue. It was weird for sure, but it must just be popular nowadays.

After he left the Crystalspine Reaches Keani wandered for what felt like forever in a complete daze of some sorts when he had finally took noticed of his surroundings he realized there was snow and ice everywhere. He was in the Cloudscrape Craig’s how he had traveled so far without noticing he’ll never know. Just as he was about to walk further in he was talked by a blood red wildclaw, the wildclaw snarled at him ready to go for his neck when a voice called out.

“That’s enough Caelum you know Eirlys hates it when you kill visitors before we find out why there here” out stepped from the blizzard of snow a powerful looking skydancer, his body was pitch black and his voice held power the wildclaw stepped off as the skydancer spoke again “state your name and why you’re here.”

Quickly speaking up “I’m Keani I’m a traveling dragon off to see all of the world I mean no harm and didn’t even realize I stepped into your territory I apologize” he finished with a bow hoping to get out of this alive.

The skydancer starred at him for what felt like eternity before coming to a decision “come with me.”

With that Keani was lead to the Snowhearts clan camp where he met the leader a female fae named Eirlys she allowed him to stay for a short period telling him if he needed anything to ask her or her mate Zerath (the pitch black skydancer) for his limited stay it was somewhat pleasant sure there were many dragons who didn’t seem all the way there, but he met a nice dragon named Amaterasu who made him some new apparel as a welcome gesture. Soon his time with the clan came to an end it was time for his next adventure and hopefully this time he isn’t attacked by a bloodthirsty wildclaw.

Keani wasn’t quite sure what to expect when he stumbled into the Starwood Strand. Throughout the night, he was fascinated by the blossoms of the trees, glowing and twinkling like the stars above. When he was observing one, he heard a swish in the bushes nearby.

“Who’s there?” he asked sternly. A little blue Fae approached Keani. Under the glowing lights of the Starwood, the Fae seemed to be in a shade of eerie blue...

Keani couldn’t help but to stare at the Fae’s eyes. Something was wrong—red matter oozed out of his multiple green eyes. He didn’t understand what it meant: was it a strange disease? Keani tried to tear his eyes away from the Fae, but he couldn’t.

“Wanderer, are you lost around here? You seem like a traveling dragon, like me!” the Fae chirped, “My name is Sky; Sky the traveler. I’ve been to many different regions, but never to the Water Flight.”

Keani decided not to speak. He wasn’t sure whether to trust this Fae.

“Hmm...you’re a silent one aren’t cha? You should go meet King—he’s also quite quiet.”

Keani began walking away, finding a camp in the distance. He looked at the Fae one last time before running towards the clearing. He could hear Sky behind him yelling, “You know, that’s the entrance to the clan!”

The clan is in a clearing in the Starwood. When he was walking through the tall grasses, a dragoness came to greet him.

“Hello, welcome to the Clan of the Starbright. I’m Prophecy, the leader and librarian of this clan,” she introduced. She is a Guardian with starry scales and clear crystalline wings. She wears a mage’s cloak, with an alchemist’s bag, potion bottles shimmering with glitters. She gave a friendly smile before a smaller pink Fae approached. “I am Pixie, Prophecy’s assistant,” he playfully said, doing a little dance in the air. He gestured Keani to follow him. “You know, there’s another traveling dragon in the clan right now—her name is Terra. I bet you two could make great roomies! She’s an Imperial and she’s huge, especially for a Fae like me! You know, one time, she tried to teach me how to eat insects without removing the exoskeleton first. So first, you...”

Keani tilted his head, puzzled. Pixie had continue speaking, but his words had already faded into the background of Keani’s thoughts. Although he had seen many clans with mixed dragon breeds now, it’s the first time he was asked to share a den with a dragon of a different breed.

Might as well give it a try.

Keani didn’t enjoy Terra’s company at first, but he started to warm up to her after she showed him her journal. There were mentions of a great river that ran through the Sunbeam Ruins. Keani was fascinated by her descriptions and her drawings, and he didn’t regret meeting the Imperial.

The next few days were pretty fun:

He met Caldera and Corinna, two dragoness who are currently quite in love. He was quite baffled by this, as 300 years ago, such relationships does not exist. He doesn’t speak much, but he asked them once, “Just to confirm...you two...are in a romantic relationship?”

Caldera and Corrina gave each other an awkward look before nodding slowly. Keani felt like he had just embarrassed them, so he quickly wrapped his mind around this fact and decided to accept it as it is (but to tell the truth, he’s still pretty confused.)

He oddly felt that Sonatina, an Imperial hatchling, is rather...relatable. Perhaps it’s her quiet nature or her distance from the other hatchlings that makes her similar to him. He would share stories with her about the society when he was still young. She would giggle and laugh at the fake monsters he made up, not showing any signs of fear. Sonatina, however, is related to the Coatl Fateless...and they’re both descendants of Naomi. Everyone, even Keani, knew who Naomi is. He decided it’s better not to interact with them too much.

And perhaps, the most intriguing of all, is the multiple tailed Imperials of this clan; Banshou, Tokimaru, and Tenshi.

When Keani tried to question them about their tails, none of them gave a “fitting” answer.

Banshou replied, “As a Kitsune dragon, I am born this way.”

Tokimaru answered, “I am not fully dragon, nor fully fox, nor fully Youkai (monster).”

Tenshi simply stated, “My 9 tails are a symbol of where I came from; a symbol of who I am.”

When Keani realized that Kitsune dragons are a separate subspecies, he couldn’t wait to figure out more. However, the more he thought about it, the more his head hurts. How did this happen? Who are their ancestors? How many of them are in Sornieth? Is this a mutation

He also decided to live with it and not think about it.

Finally, following Sky’s suggestion, he decided to meet King.

It was a starry night when he met King. He is also an Imperial. His icy hood gave Keani the impression that he is from the Ice Flight, but his eyes proved otherwise. It is a rather dull olive green. They both sat next to each other silently before King started to speak. “You are...an immortal too?”

Keani thought it’s better not to answer and looked away. He was genuinely shocked that there are other immortals too.

King just looked at Keani with knowing eyes and smiled, “You start losing track of time once you live too long...though, I’m sure that we’ll meet again in the future.”

Keani let out a great, deep sigh and started speaking, “How...are you sure?”

King gave him a good long look. “A wise friend once said to me, ‘Given infinite time in an equation, even a nigh possibility becomes a certainty.’”

Keani took a small moment to process that. He started stargazing with King, and he soon went back to his den to sleep.

Soon, before he knew it, it was time for him to leave. He promised himself that he would only stay in one clan for a week, at a time. At dawn, while Terra was still sleeping, he packed his items into his bag. Without thinking about saying goodbye to other dragons, he quietly left the den. He approaches Sky, who was already up and enjoying the sunrise near the edges of the clearing.

Sky looked at Keani, sighing “Hey hey, you’re leaving already?” Keani didn’t say anything. Sky’s head fins drooped, bothered by his cold attitude. He told Keani before running back into the campgrounds, “Stay here—I have something important to show you.”

When Sky returns, he was holding a dusty piece of ragged cloth. “It’s from Terra. She just figured that you’d leave, but she doesn’t want to see you...because she said she might cry.” Keani took the cloth and looked at it thoughtfully. Sky explained, “That is a Haunting Amber Nightshroud. It’s only found at the season the Nocturnes gather.”

Keani simply nodded to Sky. Sky waved goodbye as Keani started to walk out of the clearing and into the Starwood Strand, leisurely enjoying the view of the shimmering blossoms under the sun.

The Ice clan wasn't as he expected. It was cold, and barren, but not all unwelcoming— mostly. He came into the tundra cold and out of his element, quite literally. After his other travels, he was worn down. However exciting the new places were, they were exhausting too.

Nivalis has approached him first, emerging from a snow bank like an arctic fox emerging with prey. The prey being Keani himself.

“You are tired.” Nivalis said quietly, lowering her head to Keani’s height, even though he wasn’t that much shorter. Keani felt himself recoil slightly, unsure of how to handle the sudden approach. He stood a bit taller and nodded. Then he realized Nivalis had a blindfold on. He opened his mouth, debating whether he should speak, but Nivalis interrupted him

“I can see you in different ways, do not worry. Please, come with me. Alsius said you would be here.” She turned without another word and went back towards the snow bank she had come out of.

Keani decided that perhaps resting with them wouldn’t hurt, if only for a few days. The snow bank was actually an entrance to a cave. Snow had built up on the stone carved door. Nivalis gestured for Keani to enter first, so he did. Warily.

Nivalis touched the door with a claw, and it seemed to move in by itself as she followed Keani inside.

The cave itself held seventeen dragons, as Keani was later told. It was cool, but comfortable. It branched off in many ways, and he was warned not to wander off too far because how deep they went.

“I used to live with Plague.” Nivalis said a bit sadly. “It was very brief. I found my perfect one, though.” She stopped walking as they got to a large opening in the cave. assumingly some kind of meeting place in the middle of all the cave system. It was decorated with glowing lamps and jars full of other assorted glowing plants.

Alsius, Nivalis’ “perfect one”, as described by her, had the same odd demeanor about him. Welcoming, knowing, but..different. Keani didn’t mind, considering he thought of himself as weirder. He didn’t speak to them or the other adults, and despite that they brought him food and water at least once a day, when they could. Their messenger was a small Fae, named Avisa.

“I’ve come to bring you water!” The young Fae giggled, dragging a sack full of water under her as her wings flapped furiously to keep her and the sack off the ground. She was also holding a plushie of the Icewarden in her arms. It was far too big to be normal sized for a fae, but Keani admired her determination.

“Clear water.” Keani found himself murmuring.

“Hm?” Avisa set the water down, perching on top of it. “Yes, it’s clear.”

“Your name. It means clear water.” Keani said a bit louder, his voice scratchy from the lack of communication for the past few days it’s taken to travel this way alone.

Avisa blinked, and then her wings fluttered excitedly. “Really? My mom never told me what it meant!”

Keani felt a smile creep up. “I used to live in the sea, that’s how I know.”

“Wow! That’s so amazing, I’ve always wanted to see the oceans and seas.” Avisa hugged the icewarden plushie, her eyes sparkling like freshly fallen snow. “What kinda of things happened while you were there?”

Keani shifted, combing through his mind for a good story. He sat down and told one of his time as a hatchling.

Avisa and Keani became friends over the time of his stay, and every time Avisa brought him water, Keani would tell a story in exchange. Sometimes Avisa would fall asleep when it was night and her mother, Lilith, would have to come and retrieve her.

When Keani decided his stay was getting too long, he told Nivalis.

“I know.” was all she said. Keani frowned, but it wasn’t a very surprising answer. The rest of the dragons thanked him for his kindness to Avisa. There were no other younger dragons to entertain her, and he really made her happy.

Keani was thankful he could do something in return for their hospitality.

He passed the main room and up toward the place he’d come in a fortnight ago. He was much more rested and happier than his arrival, at the very least. As he went to leave, through, Avisa’s voice called from inside.

“Keani! Keani, wait!” Avisa zipped up to him, holding her Icewarden stuffed animal as always. “Please. Take this, so you don’t forget me.” She held out the icewarden.

“I could never forget you, Avisa. You don’t need to give me that.”

Avisa pushed it into his chest. “Please.” She said quietly

Keani looked down at it. The stuffed animal was old and worn, and looked like it’s been patched up many times. But it’s feeling was soft, and warm. He carefully took it in a claw.

“Okay.” he nodded a little. “I’ll take it.”

Avisa glowed with happiness. “Maybe someday you can give it to someone important to you. Good luck!” She waved and started back down into the cave, looking back as she went.

Keani went back out into the cold, with the sun shining harshly and making the snow sparkle. Just like Avisa’s eyes.

He hoped she was right. He opened his wings, and took off.

And the spiral was right- after a few nights of travel, mostly consiting of Ebon chattering away with almost no response from Keani, they arrived. Their leader, Mira, greeted him warmly. She gave him a small den to stay in for his visit, as well as the invitation to bother her or her second in command Lux if he came to need anything.

The clan was very relaxed- if it wasn't for the harsh desert that he traversed to get there, Keani wouldn't have imagined them belonging to the plaguelands. He wasn't the only visitor- many dragons filtered through the lair while he was there, a majority of them either needing help through the desert or taking refuge on their way to serve the deity of the land.

This did cause him concern- how could this place possibly be safe, allowing so many strangers to move so freely? But his worries were adressed when on the third night of his stay, a young fae tried to start a fight- and Keani was impressed by how quickly the situation was handled. For as friendly as they all are, they are all well trained in combat.

On the fifth night he was approached by a small mirror pup. She was still incredibly young- almost all of her communication was through squeaks and squawks, with only a few common words on occasion. Keani humored the young one with stories- he's learned over his journey which ones the children like best, and the mirror was enthused with them, despite not truly understanding them.

He did this story time for the last two nights as well. But before he was able to take off with Ebon, who was to be the one to guide him out of the boneyards safely, he was stopped by the sound of frantic squeaking as the mirror pup ran up to him, a small pouch held carefully in her mouth. She placed it at his feet, and upon opening it he found it was full of colorful moths. "She wants to say thank you for the stories, the moths are her favorite." The older guardian who followed the pup amused explained. Keani leaned down to her level. "Thank you for them, I will treasure them." The mirror squeaked happy, falling over with enthusiasm. And with that he finally took off, leaving the clan behind to continue his travels.

Keani shuffled forward through the dank underbrush, dodging the occasional branch reaching out to grab his clothing. It was getting dark, at least he thought it was getting dark, and he would be forced to stop for the night. Picking a small clearing not far from the path, he sat down and studied the crude map he had been given. Surely the entrance was around here somewhere.

Scratching his scales he heard laughter coming from farther down the path. He looked up and saw a bright green Spiral walking tails twined with a darker green Skydancer. It was obvious that they were a mated pair but it was so odd to see members of two different species together. Deciding it would be better for him to mind his business he looked back down at the map.

“Hi! You there! Hello?” A shout rang from the path. Keani looked up to see them stopped at the edge of the path. Their faces peered at him and they were waving, “Hi, umm, are you a traveler? Have you see another dragon in these parts?” The dark green Skydancer called out.

Silence. He didn’t know whether or not to trust these strangers for he had clearly never seen them before. Trying to ignore them, he turned back to his map.

“Umm, ok,” They said, “I’ll come right over.” To his astonishment, the dark green skydancer hopped over to him with only a few short hops. “This is better, now we don’t have to shout to each other,” They said looking down at him. She was awfully large but fairly pretty, “Hi, I’m Kindra and over there is Illusion. I’m looking for a dragon named Keani, have you seen him?”

Keani looked down and back up to her, “That’s me.”

“Ohhh, well hi! I’ve been waiting for you for about a week now.” She replied, “Mind if we camp here with you?”

Keani didn’t know how to respond and without waiting for an answer Kindra and Illusion came over and started making a fire and nest to sleep in.

The night passed with no interruptions. Kindra and Illusion had pulled out small deer and cooked them up, all the while talking about their lives up into this point of them finding him. Normally he wouldn’t enjoy this company but he was a little afraid of sleeping alone in the dark forest.

The morning came almost to soon and the trio parted ways a little farther down the road. He didn’t leave without a gift though, he received a small leafy pack. And with that it was time for Keani to move onto the next grouping.

On March 30, 2019 I will be 25, I haven't celebrated my birthday since I was 16. So this is kinda special to me, I found this boy and fell in love so I decided he was a perfect candidate. He is a siren that created the curse, what exactly he can do is up to you. All I can say is he is old but each time he becomes a siren he retains his memories but his body resets. You don't have to follow the apparel plan, it's just what I came up with to give an idea haha. Hopefully you guys have fun with him! Happy birthday lol

It was quiet at the Plagued Rose Camp. Dragons were winding down from gathering and the king and queen were resting on the overhang that topped the cavern of the main hall. Brimstone, a plague wrought mirror male, and Pruthyra, his recently turned mirror mate, lay over him, humming contently. But...there also lay in unease in the clan. A large ridgeback male, Surgio, lay frowning at the mouth of the natural spring that blossomed from the crags of earth in which the clan was built around. This spring was unnaturally large but for a reason. It was Azure's, the water flight representatives, only way to the sea. And that's exactly where she was now...or was she?
"Brimstone...sir...Somethings wrong..I..I can just feel it..."
Surgio whispered, though his deep voice was heard by his king. The air stirred and Brimstone landed silently beside his lightning rep.
"I know you worry son but you must give her time. The water kingdom has been in turmoil since Tidelord's disappearance. I would only be natural if she was late getting home from the main event."
Surgio, even though he still felt wrong, agreed. He cared deeply for Azure, which he was sure she barely knew of his unprofessed love, and worried for her wellbeing. She had never been gone this long and he worried she would be hurt because of how small she was. Only as long as one of his wings...adorable when she curled around his neck like a shiny wet scarf...and her smile...
Suddenly the water from the spring stopped flowing and instantly dried up, extra water getting sucked into the massive cave on the well floor like a bucket with a hole. It gave a gurgle then with a might whoosh it exploded into a swirling vertex. Surgio and Brimstone barely had time to dodge the wave of water before four dragons, one his beloved Azure, burst from the vortex and landed on the floor, entangled against one another. Azure wiggled away first, scowling but an excited look in her eye. Next to pull herself out of the heap was a female pearlcatcher who gripped her pearl firmly in her hind claw so it did not fall. The last two were another Pearl, this one male and a very elegant and shy nocturne, her swirling patterns making it hard to focus on her...like she was a mirage on the sea itself.
"Azure...who are these dragons?"
Brimstone sniffed and promptly sneezed, hissing at the amount of salt in the air.
"My apologies for the mess my king. These two," She pointed to the two pearlcatchers," are ambassabors from our friend clans. Don't you remember them? Keani and Lunika?"
Brimstone nodded, a strange light in his eyes kindling at the mention of friends.
"Keani....from Ahote correct?"
He asked, pointing towards the large winged male.
"Yes sir."
He nodded, keeping his gaze on the Nocturne who had now formed a bubble of water around herself.
"Lunika...from The Hidden Lair?"
She nodded, ringing out her silk apparel in the pool.
"And you are?"
Brimstone turned to the Nocturne who gave him a wide-eyed loom but did not answer, her eyes looking sad.
"Forgive her my king but...she can't speak. Not dragon tongue at least."
"What do you mean 'not in dragon tongue'? How does she communicate?"
"That doesn't matter. All we know if she has a connection to the Tidelord and we want to know what this connection is."
Keani growled and popped the bubble, causing the young female to drop onto the hard dry ground. She then let out a sound that made Surgio instantly burst into tears, sorrow welling up inside of him. He suddenly felt murderous, protective of the female and he snarled, taking a step towards the smaller Pearl male. He could defeat him, the puny thing. He could rip those large wings off and hang them up as trophies. He could- A sharp pain exploded on Surgios face and he hissed, the haze fading and replaced with confusion.
"Surgio snap out of it!"
Azure's face came into view and she stared at him, small fangs bared. He immediately backed up and sat on his haunches, embarrassment filling him.
"What was that thing Azure? What shade magic did you bring to this clan?"
Chara, one of the clans large Gaoler females asked, snarling down at the Nocturne. The little dragon once again tried to open her mouth but Chara roared and clamped her jaws together, holding her up with dark eyes.
"Chara no! Don't hurt her!"
Azure cried and tried to blast water at the Gaoler but this only seemed to infuriate her more. She roared again and raised the Nocturne, ready to smash her into the ground when the earth around them shook, making her freeze.

"ENOUGH CHARA. PUT HER DOWN."

The little nocturne dropped unconscious from the gaolers grip and Keani caught her before she hit the ground. Chara bowed before Brimstone who now stood wreathed in a veil of pulsing red light, Pruthyra hissing at his feet.
Before anyone noticed, the two pearlcatchers fled, up and out of the cavern, carrying the nocturne gently between them. Azure tried to follow but Surgio grabbed her tail, panic filling him.
"Wait where-"
"No time to explain. Come on!"
She hissed and wiggled free of his claw, darting away after the running dragons. Surgio lifted his wings and flew after his love. They burst out of the clan entrance and found the two pearls far in the distance, heading towards a large oasis. When the two caught up, the nocturne had woken up and she was curled into a ball inside one of her bubbles, pain and fear evident in her blank expression.
"You lied, you filthy plague lover! You said she'd be safe!"
Lunika growled at Azure, poking her with a sharp claw in the chest.
"And the first thing they do when she displays her power is try to kill her!"
Azure puffed up and hissed loudly.
"I'm sorry! But it was an accident okay? Chara was probably scared you know how Gaolers are! Brimstone was protecting-"
"Shut up!" Keani roared and the arguing females fell silent. He let out a steadying breath and sat down, his metal fins clinking against each other and his candles settling around them, giving them light in the rising darkness.
"We obviously can't keep her with your clan Azure, I'm sorry. We have to find another option."
Lunika rolled her eyes.
"She can come home with me. We don't have OVERREACTIVE Gaolers in our clan."
She shared a dark look with Azure as Keani shook his head. Surgio watched them worriedly before Keani spoke again.
"No...I have a strange feeling about this one."
The pearls ghostly hands caught the Nocturnes bubble and pulled it closer, setting it on the sand. It was sturdier than the last and didn't pop even though several sharp stones protruded up into it.
"We will find her a home, a permanent one but for now."
He pulled a pack from his back and began to set up a small camping area.
"We rest."
Azure looked forlornly at the Nocturne and settled around Surgios neck, her favorite spot to sleep when she was stressed.
"Don't worry Azure."
Surgio murmured, looking up at a sky whose stars were slowly emerging.
"We'll find her a home...a safe home..."
