Peach is the adoptive daughter of Eglantine, notable for sharing her mother's delicate beauty and immunity to illness - although in the case of Peach this comes with a crackled skin filled with a hardened yellowish substance which Eglantine believes has the capacity to keep away illness, perhaps by killing infectious agents.

Peach is also different from her mother in another respect: cruelty. Unlike Eglantine, who is simply cold and uncaring, with no regard for life and no emotions, Peach delights in manipulation and cruelty. She is kept in check both by her mother and by the productive outlet of being her assistant and nurse, thus channeling her destructive joys into something constructive.

Still, while strangers are often captivated by the nurse's affectations of delicacy and charm, most dragons who actually know Peachwould not like to come accross her alone in the dark.
