The very first Interstellar Ice dragons were created when shards of ice came together in space. These chunks were fostered by deities that are yet unkown to us, and shrouded in protective magic before they fell as eggs into Sornieth. As they hatched in their new environments, it appeared that it didn't much matter how they looked. For a while they intermingled inconspicuously with the native dragons that roamed the land. However, their alien, starbound heritage could not be denied. Over time, clear distinction between these dragons became more noticeable.

Shark and Iestyn are the first officially recognized Interstellar Ice dragons. They are the de facto leaders, and long to see their bloodline spread throughout Sornieth. Celeste and her brother, Apodis, are the first ever clutch to hatch and bear the title, but they suffered a strange mutation. Their wings didn't sparkle with starlight. They were blotched and stained due to some strange taint in the bloodline. Future hatchlings will have to overcome this taint to join the starry ranks of the Interstellar Ice subspecies.
