Quietly disowned by his homeland, Ersidia thought perhaps he would find solace among the other itinerant nomads of Sornieth. Slowly he found a solemn joy in wandering from place to place taking in the scenery and talking to people who couldn't quite guess his secrets. Ultimately what he craved was family and a chance to raise a brood of his own.

It was in a strikingly quiet glade that Ersidia stumbled across a gallery. It was filled with art that spanned the breadth of emotion. Happy and colorful, dark and heartfelt. He felt a kind of kinship with the artist that never seemed to be around. Sid thought at times there was a presence lurking, and watching him in the gallery, but it never made itself known. He met Tasha one day in the gallery, an old Fae with a kind smile. She seemed perplexed when he told her he hadn't met the proprietor. She fluttered out, and came back dragging a much larger Coatl by the plumage. "Now Farainne, be nice to him; I like him."

The two became fast friends. Farainne needed someone to talk to, and Ersidia was a very good listener. The Coatl seemed not unnerved when he told him his secrets. The boy was kind despite his shyness, and the newcomer helped Farainne out of his shell. In turn the Coatl showed him the kindness that encouraged Ersidia to be himself, without reservations.

Soon the two embarked on an ethically dubious journey to turn Farainne's artistry into living breathing creations. They encountered little success, creating constructs that would run for a while, then quietly fade in vibrance and become inanimate once again. Their failures only served to fuel their curiosity in finding solutions.

They learned from their mistakes, and after countless failed attempts they finally succeeded. They created a daughter. A being of magic and color. Their efforts were not in vain, and her birth was blessed by the Arcanist, who left his mark on her visage.
