Nobody knows much about him- just to stay away and mind our businesses” -Unknown - “Fraces is intelligent and valuable enough to be on the Council if he wanted to be. Can’t say I blame him for not wanting to.” - Lillya - Gabbre is a blob of residue given life by one of Fraces’ failed experiments. He kept it around on a whim- not because Jaguarfly grew attached and named it, no matter what anyone claims. ━━ Skills/Languages ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Strengths: Accidentally discovering new magic, Using safe experimentation while being risky, Potion-Brewing, Runic/Ritualistic Spells, Weaknesses: Kindness, Children, Jaguarfly, Praise, Praising Others ━━ Biography ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Background Raised around just his brother and parents, Fraces grew up without much interaction. He loathed the desert land his small family wandered and upon maturity was quick to leave. He went northward and despite his natural misgivings about social interaction, Fraces traveled to Lanternlea Port to earn a bit of treasure and find an occupation. This port is where he met his longtime mentor- a voodoo priest who dabbled in the art of alchemy. Fraces showed huge potential for both sorcery and alchemy. His teacher took him in for a time and let him work as an assistant in their shop while he swiftly mastered their teachings. When Fraces passed his mentor’s level he left- eager to resume his journey and find a place to practice the arts in peace. The Diverque Sanctuarium was the perfect place for the aspiring voodooist. Land rife with magic- and at the time relatively isolated. The small clan eagerly welcomed Fraces at first, excited to have someone skilled in any sort of healing art. This welcome instantly soured when Fraces’ tendency to wander off for days on end became known, as well as his less-than-friendly attitude. He was tolerated for a time- until a proper healer joined the clan. Fraces didn’t take any of this to heart, he knew full well he brought it upon himself and did so with glee. He swiftly disappeared into the Sanctuarium’s forests once the opportunity arose and for a time that was it. One reclusive voodooist hidden among the trees, known only to those who knew him before he was gone. Then Jaguarfly appeared. Intrigued by the spirits drawn to Fraces’ rituals she sought him out persistently despite his clear resistance to any sort of interaction with her. Fraces actively avoided the Guardian when he could, praying she’d get bored and return to the main Sanctuarium. This dynamic changed when Jaguarfly saved him from a pair of upset spirits during one of his more unstable ritualistic experiments. Instead of condemning him as he expected, she simply lectured him about the dangers of attracting spirits without the proper defenses and volunteered to teach him how to protect himself. Begrudgingly Fraces allowed Jaguarfly to help him and from there, their relationship bloomed. Current Life Fraces spends his days deep within the forests he calls home. He practices and experiments with his crafts, occasionally lending his aid if Jaguarfly asks it of him. The only time Fraces visits the Sanctuarium is if Jaguarfly drags him along for some reason- otherwise, he has ways of getting what he needs. |
